If we get what hes worth. It's a season earlier than most of us thought.

Does his handing in a transfer request boost the price up ? (They used to get 10% of the fee if they hadn't didn't they ?)

One positive would be a formal transfer request nixes his and the agent’s cut.

Cutthroat is making the decision to let him go tomorrow. Holding onto to him now out of spite is counter productive. The case study is Liverpool and coutinho

Coutinho went for what, 170ish? I was thinking 150, considering Rice, Grealish, but given inflation and proven world class status in the premiership, has to be 160 base plus 30-40 add ons. I don't know that spite is that counter productive given I dont trust us to do anything but buy 3 lads not quite good enough to be considered for squads at cartel clubs.

Will £130m be "transformative"?

He's probably got about £30-35m left on his book value so thats +£90-100m plus wages maybe another £6m or so per year.

Obviously we know the incoming players' fees would be "amortised" but we can't forget this £100m or whatever it ends up as drops off in a few years time.

Brighton got 115m out of Chelsea for Caicedo at no point was as good as Isak for us and got the to trophies or CL places like Isak helped us. surely this has to reflect in any sell price so 120m is laughable...

Has to be 150 at least. And only abroad IMO.

I will genuinely fuck football off if that bombscare oaf signs for us.

I'm calling it now- I don't see how they can afford it without offloading him and we need a striker

Guys seriously, he wants to leave that alone has killed our bargaining position.

The potential market is very thin because this cunt waited until everyone had shot the load.

I hope you all are ready for the "only wanted liverpool tweet" btw

Aye and I bet Nunez is part of that package

The meltdown would be unbelievable if we signed Nunez (myself included [emoji38])

Stop obsessing re price. It's an ego thing. The key point is what it means for PSR. £120 tomorrow is worth far more than £150 to howe in 3 weeks time

Remember it being a thing (didn't Ashley get Carroll to do that ?). Didnt know if it still existed due to players getting everything.

He wants to leave, I don't think this is just about money.

Anyways fuck him, as I said he doesn't want to play for us he can fuck off.

Yeah, he's been isolated and run into the ground on the pitch by us, in a better team with more support and service he could be a potential Ballon d'Or contender. We just haven't done enough to build a team to match and make the most of his ability.

No. Also - do we trust the club to spend the money wisely? I don’t. Not how we’ve been going no

Simple solution, Yasir picks the phone up to Isak agent, asks how much, pays it.

If he’s really his favourite player and they want us to kick on, PIF will pay it.

Aren’t we already fucked on the wages to turnover ratio?
