Chelsea and their cheat code again. Oh no, it’s actually partly PiF money from the CWC.

Think we need to stop obsessing over PIF money. They fund nearly everything in the world, it's a vast sovereign wealth fund.

As much as it's fair for him to request a pay rise, it's also fair for us to tell him he has 3 years left on his contract and unless someone submits a stupid offer he won't be going anywhere this summer.

We took a chance spending a significant sum on bringing him to the PL when no one else would, which he's repaid handsomely, but neither party 'owes' the other anything here and he isn't going to go on strike in a WC year.

I'm hoping the time it takes for us to conclude deals is because we need to be extremely careful with what we spend to stay on the right side of psr. The first january and summer windows after the takeover when we didn't have this constraint to the same degree things happend fairly quickly as far as I can recall.

So we sell Isak and can bag 5 players quick because not as much PSR restraint. Get him sold! [emoji38]

And he can have another £100k a week and a decent release clause. TBH if he's forcing a move then he is acting like a dick, there's no reason for it.

Nah, we shouldn't take players in exchange. They value the trash they have so highly.

Aye I understand the sentiment but the likes of Santos wouldn’t be a bad shout in exchange, plus a hefty fee. Best of a bad situation imo.

I was always resigned to Isak leaving but just not this season. How any can condone his behaviour is beyond me. He's basically just stuck his fingers up at us all and said I'm off - weeks before the start of the season. Nevermind the impact on the team and the other players.

Especially after they took Ekitike from right under our nose just last week.

It's not even that Decky, I'm fine with that. It's the fact theyve once again gone and unsettled one of our players by getting fuckers like Romano to tweet every hour. They've done the same things they complained about Madrid doing.

Liverpool winning the league and adding Ekitike, Wirtz, Frimpong, Mamardashvili, Kerkez, Frimpong and potentially Isak to their side.

Chelsea getting a £100m for a glorified friendly competition and buying anyone with a pulse. Villa selling their womans team to themselves.

Journalists publicly tapping up players for the cartel clubs.

Whole thing just feels proper demoralising [emoji38]

He's valued too high and totally unproven in the League.

Can't be accepting 50m valuations for such players.

Aye it's terrible and really spoils his legacy with us. The only reason is a bigger pay rise than we're prepared to give, it's shocking behaviour.

Let’s not kick off at the bloke who is under paid and won us a league cup

Fkn hell that's funny man. He was doing his job and paid an absolute fortune for the pleasure. And he didn't win us a league cup ffs. There was a whole squad of players who did their bit.

What a way to live. Operating in a context where an income that is more a week than the overwhelming majority of people on the planet would never earn in a year and some not even in a lifetime is not enough to demonstrate loyalty and commitment. Totally fucked up.
one day this will implode and then it will be 11 lads vs 11 lads playing football without all the shite.

Many, myself included, alluded to next season and it being wins all round.

The problem is we didn’t do the deals, Wissa is our alternative and we are painfully slow at doing deals.

100% agree and we never planned for the eventuality as next season was always 100% the belief. It was never a consideration of doing it before so the groundwork wasn't really in place. We also use a lot of the same agents and agencies still. For example Delap and Trafford both have Stellar and the same agent inside Stellar.

I've suggested on here for a long time about what goes on in the background and that there are people within NUFC that could cause problems when it comes to getting deals over the line or with communication lines. A personal belief is also that despite Eddie doing the most amazing job his name still isn't a draw for players yet. Often in the Robson days players came due to Bobby, his achievements and his line of "Ive signed Ronaldo, I've signed Figo ....". I still truly believe that if we had a champions league winning manager with a reputation outside of the Premier League then we would be a bigger draw as a team. With Eddie we need to win a few more things and become a European regular for that name to grow.
