Now show some ambition - get that training ground built and start being a bit more 'present'. And back Eddie in the market !! Imagine if this ends up being the kick up the arse to get things moving. Looks like a major show of intent from the Saudi side could well settle things. Need them to step up here. Reads like it was pre-written by club PR and sent to Edwards the moment the Isak news broke. So clearly this is our party line, I just hope it's not unwarranted bravado.

Even a sale at £120m-£130m would only bring in around £50m-£60m of profit. It is not quite the game-changing amount people think.

They want us to change our stance. Today the tide has turned. A lot going on behind the scenes last week with the Celtic game missed, report of the scan, injury, training alone etc. There's plenty that goes on behind the scenes but we're only told what the club want the journalists to know and share. With the Sesko links (today) and Wissa interest, it looks like we're open but trying to save face. Add the Mitchell story, upheaval last summer, deflect some of the blame. But people don't see it or don't wanna accept it until it's official. Edited July 24, 2025 by Green2025

His goals dug us out of a hole many times. We've struggled to bring in players already so there is no guarantee we could even attract the likes of Sesko. I am convinced if we sell him the rot will set in and other players will look for a move.

They don't want to burn bridges with Liverpool when they might be trying to extract more than a hundreds million pound from them relatively soon.
