Fucking hell man, the lack of professionalism off the charts. Would care a lot of less if he was quietly working with the club and his agent to find his move early and allowing us to find his replacement but he's totally fucked over Eddie and his teammates man. This. I think it stinks how he has effectively downed tools, but we're asking for a record fee for him as the best striker in the world and not paying him accordingly. He's acted like an absolute dick, but yeah, seems he's somewhat entitled to be pissed off. As an organisation we're currently an absolute shambles (stadium, training ground, sponsorships, communication, wtf is going on with all these), he's been misled about his contract situation and our ambitions, and transfer strategy is looking catastrophically bad. To me it seems like he told the club a long time ago. No doubt in my mind Liverpool communicated to Newcastle they are interested. You can call it tapping up, but a move like this, it takes months of work to gauge if a transfer is viable. Just because the story wasn't out earlier doesn't mean things weren't playing out in the background.
