£135m + addons is fine.

But should never ever happen before a(or two really) replacement are in place.

No it’s not. It should be £150m minimum, to be honest we should be pushing towards £200m.

If we cave at a smaller fee we're risking totally fucking ourselves with the rest of the squad. Players and agents will think they can just go on strike anytime they want to move and eventually we'll cave in, lower our valuation and let them go. Fuck that. If we sell fair enough, but we have to absolutely rinse Liverpool or all we're doing is showing we aren't serious in our ambitions to reach the top.

Well i disagree with the majority here on this.

Way too injury prone and goes missing in too many games to have that kind of valuation, regardless of how good he can be.

135m plus addons is kinda close to 150m btw.

He's 25, one of the best CFs in the world and entering his prime seasons, we can ask for a ridiculous number and not be coy as fuck about it either. 25+ a season for the next 6+ seasons means they're essentially buying goals, points and titles. If they want him that badly then they need to be rinsed for every penny

Even if Isak doesn't go he's killed our season - so much wasted effort in trying to get his replacement.  And the shit show that he's created has ruined our pre-season - squad look deflated regardless of what Eddie says.  It also won't have helped with recruitment as he's helped paint a club in disarray.

I sort of agree. He's exceptional but he does have these times and is susceptible to injuries. The problem is we can't replace him.

If he goes to Liverpool with Salah, Wirtz & Ekitike feeding him he’ll comfortably be the leagues top scorer and they should pay for it

To us he does have that valuation because a club that we are ostensibly trying to compete with is trying to poach the only player in the club who is likely to score over 20 goals. Fuck his actual market value.

We were a club in disarray last summer. We then won a cup and qualified for the CL.

he’ll be staying then

Allways said it.. Why on earth did they sign Ekitike when we were trying to sign him? Isak is so much better. If Isak stays, they can thank themselves.

We did but the big 4/5 have strengthened way beyond our wildest dreams. We won’t get close to top 4 this season.

I'm fucking exhausted by all this bs.  You can have all the money in the world (ironically, we do). But if there are no decent players left, we should not be letting Isak leave, not for 135m not for 200m which arguably he's worth if Diaz is 80m. Not for any price!

Fuck Liverpool, fuck Isak. Tell him he will play for the remainder of his contract in the u21's, unless he plays this year. We are 4 weeks from arguably the most transformative season of our recent history and he owes us another season. He's also derailing our entire preseason because he's had his head turned. He gets paid handsomely and he should fucking get on with it and stop dropping his team mates and the manager that took a risk on him, in the shit!

Then he can fuck off, hopefully by then we have extended our scouting report wider than the 5 names we have from 2020.

I fucking hate him.

Got to be honest the more I see his face on twitter the more I am growing a dislike for him.  He could have handled the situation with class and dignity but he chose to spit in the face of the very people who made him the player today.  And like I said above - even if he does stay the damage he had done will affect us for the season ahead.

Ironically taking Ekitike off the market has made it even harder to get the lad they actually wanted. Now they have to offer over the odds to get him as his natural replacement isn't available. Swings and roundabouts

I'll caveat that by saying I'm assuming our transfer team actually have a backbone and will demand full market value

If not Isak they can find another striker who will bang in 20 goals a season for £150m.

It’s only been 10 months to get a CEO. No rush like.

To me it’s clear as day that something just ain’t right behind the scenes.

Just too much that does not add up.

I hope to be proven wrong, but after supporting this club for 35 years I know that when we can fuck things up, we usually do.

We're a $billion (maybe £billion) valued company in an industry with very few people at a level capable of driving that forward. 10 months isn't actually that unusual to fill a c-suite appointment, especially CEO in that environment.

There will also be non disclosures all over the place during the search so we'd find out right at the end of the process. Ik sure they haven't been sat on their hands for 10 months.

The sporting director position is more annoying, that shouldn't be as difficult to get in place and get right
