So if we continue to try and improve the team, they're going to continue to try and disrupt squad harmony, and that's ok?

Of course it is from their POV, they want to be Champions forever and we are in their way.

That's why we have to tell them to fuck right off with their derisory bids, because we don't really need their money.

Romano said before yesterday's bid that Liverpool would only bid if there was encouragement from Newcastle's side.

Well they bid, and within a matter of minutes we told them to fuck off.

How can he still with any credibility keep peddling the line "if Newcastle open the door" ?

Clearly just doing Liverpool's dirty pork from day one

In one like he says 'if Newcastle open doors' then goes on to say 'if Newcastle get top striker, Liverpool bid again'.

Hopefully if we do get Sesko it doesn't automatically mean we'll suddenly 'open doors' or invite another offer for Isak.

But the entitled cunts will just bid again regardless, as they did yesterday.

Feels to me like we're pandering to the player and Liverpool with how fast we have tabled a bid for Sesko that is more than likely to be accepted if it hasn't been already.

Just want us to get our deals done, close the window and we can go back to football, knowing our place like Villa know theirs while the darlings of the league have the biggest and best squads which no one else is allowed to have. Thrilling.

I was just thinking that too

It might be the case if we get Sesko and Wissa, Howe would prefer to get Isak out of our dressing room so as not to poison the atmosphere.

But even if that's his preference, why should we lower the value of Isak for Liverpool's advantage? They are our direct rivals, we shouldn't really be selling to them at all IMO. The PL clubs certainly tried to freeze us out in our first season after the PIF buyout. Let's not pretend we are friends with any of them.

I think so too. If Hope is reporting this then it's likely he's getting briefed from someone on our end. If we're briefing about softening our stance on Isak then it must mean we have some confidence about getting his replacement in. Timing is just too coincidental for me to think otherwise.

Unless it’s 180-200m I’m not selling this window. Fuck 150m. If they desire him so bad pay the premium above his market value.

In reality, I’d tell him and his agent no fucking move this summer. Get ready for 4 competitions. You can sign this bumper pay raise or not. Up to you. We will sell you if an offer comes in that is indeed an acceptable offer at a time we can stomach it and when we have the right forward plan in place. Otherwise get fit, make amends with the staff and players and show some respect.

That is how you regain control of this situation.

I keep on saying it ad nauseum, but I seriously hope we slap a fat bid on Guehi as a dick waving move against Liverpool.

I’ve a feeling we might if we get the Isak funds

For all the posturing about Yasir taking a stern stance on negotiations, they want Salah in a years time for the Saudi league. Wouldn't be surprised if deal has been agreed but Romano is being used to write the script of a a tough stance Newcastle United for another week before he goes for an undisclosed fee.

I'm saying that we do it while we hold onto Isak. If they want Guehi so bad as well, they can pay full price for him as well. If not, we get a really talented center half.

I  want Isak to go to  Real Madrid next summer for 150 Million. Also better for us for PSR. As well be able to use 125 Million of it.
