What a twat Isak is. Genuinely a class player but shown himself as a complete shithouse. Pathetic behaviour.

Very much looking forward to a similar situation occurring in a couple years when Real Madrid come sniffing.

Liverpool with want maximum dollar too. None of this low ball shit!

Those quotes actually sound a bit more conciliatory than I'd have expected. We all know that it's a testing situation because if it wasn't we'd have resolved it by now and wouldn't be chasing so many crude alternatives. I still think the best outcome however unlikely is that he stays with a bumped-up salary and we have Wissa who can stand in for him or provide backup.

Honestly don't think I can stomach letting Isak having his way and getting a move to Liverpool now. It should be completely off the table.

I'd rather buy 2 cheaper strikers and just keep him in the reserves at this point. If he wants to bust a lung to impress Eddie and get back in, so be it. If not he's here until 2028.

Isn’t the best scenario for you one which involves the return of the double AA battery, Arma?

Let him rot

If this was FM I'd dock his wages, up the intensity on the training, send him to the reserve squad and change his potential to 1.

I'd genuinely look at loaning him out to Turkey. May as well save on the wages at least

honestly I think Howe said exactly what he should have said.

He's covering all bases I think, there's just very little to take from it and whether they're his true feelings or he's saving face/presenting a unified front in his usual style.

I'm not sure what he can say when all options are seemingly still on the table

It's another discussion I think, but there's definitely a route that includes wanting him back in the group and not looking for his replacement at the same time.

Vindictive part of me would like to see us ruin his career by making him rot in the reserves for 3 years.

On the other hand if he wants to stop being a baby and play for us again I'd take that too

I'm sure he'd want him back for a year but it sure seems as we are looking for a replacement but that could be the contingency.

I think by avoiding a public fine or shaming of Isak, the club are showing they’re in control of the situation on their terms, applying quiet pressure through isolation and exclusion while keeping the narrative in-house.

To me, this approach will somewhat protect any leverage in the transfer market,  and stops driving down his value, while keeping  all options open — whether that’s reintegrating him if he backs down or securing a high-value sale.

It also sends a calm, authoritative message to the dressing room that standards will be upheld without resorting to punishments.

Surely its a case of covering his arse with the value side of things. He can't just say hes a cunt I want rid and we will take what we can get

I want nothing more now than for Liverpool to not bid, so his ego takes a massive punch in the gut. It’s football so it won’t work that way, but football clubs should steer clear.

He is so lucky he has Eddie as his manager. Eddie could absolutely eviscerate this unprofessional behavior in the press. He has totally disrespected his teammates, his coaches, his clubs and the supporters. Vile behavior.

Club should begin the process of erasing all memory of him around the place, act like he never played for us.

Shame the fucking cunt scored the winner for us at Wembley.

Ahh the Chris Benoit effect

Can someone please do an edit of the Cup Final with Isak pixelated and his name muted?

Could do a deepfake version with him Chris Wood faceswapped

I was trying to limit myself to one Adam Armstrong shout-out this summer. But reading the Osula thread where people are suggesting sending him out on loan? If not now for Armstrong, then when?

People forget that Armstrong is just one centimetre shorter than Sergio Aguero. He's an ideal third-choice striker, homegrown and could cover the flanks, prolific at the lower levels and if you want a player to step up then I keep hearing that Eddie Howe is your man.
