I hate unsalvagable situations but if that's the way he wants it :dontknow:   the club will be around a lot longer than his career will. Off to the reserves with ye.

For the first time since the option was brought up I am thinking he might just wait until the 27th and pull the article 17 shenanigans, and hope Liverpool will just wait on him.

Given he won't even put in a transfer request as it will cost him his loyalty bonus, what makes you think he can and will pay 18m+ to end his contract?

As previously said - Isak's agent Vlado Lemic has:

(1) Taken 25% af Isak's transfer fee when sold to Borussia Dortmund

(2) Been banned and excluded by previous clubs he has dealt with - AIK, PSV and Ajax

(3) His previous agency Universal Twenty Two split up because of gun shootings and car explosions by criminal gangs due to their ties with Lemic and/or his coworkers

(4) Has been exposed and been subject to leaks due to tax fraud and reciving illegal sums in tax havens

(5) Has previously been investigated by FIFA

(6) Has ties to Roman Abramovich following his era at Chelsea

Maybe Isak should do as this guy tells him then

Point on the transfer request as mentioned is solid - if he's so desperate to leave, why hasn't he done this? Clearly cares more about not losing his loyalty bonus or burning bridges more than actually leaving. I hope if and when we do entertain a sale, the pre-requisite is for him to hand in a request.

Would've reduced bridge burning had he submitted one.

The proper way is like Kane the year he finally left (not the first go round) - sit down at the end of the season, tell them you want out and to let the auction commence.  In the meantime you train like any professional and say all the right things.

I don't think anyone is suggesting this is 100% down to Vlado Limic / Universal Twenty Two and Isak has had no say in what's happening

But there's no doubt his agent is a very, very dodgy fucker to the point of him being banned by certain clubs and he'll be orchestrating this alongside Isak

Yep. And while I agree that he is paid by Isak and the player has to accept some responsibility, we are clearly dealing with an absolute shark here, the agent might have mob connections for all we know. So I would still leave the door open for Isak to reintegrate once the window closes and the agent has to back off.

I’d take a player swap at this point.

Fill up our squad gaps with 3 or 4 players from a Barcelona or Real Madrid or even PSG.

PSG: Donnarumma, Lee Kangin, Ramos, Barcola

Barca: Christensen, Der Stegen, Lewa, etc not sure who they would Let go
RM: Lunin, Guler, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz Endrick on loan etc

You are obsessed with making completely unrealistic lists that would never work due to our wage structure/wages to turnover %

Sorry, not having a go   But every thread I seem to see some FM type list of a load of players for fees way lower than what they would go for and/or well out of our wage range.

So your solution is to reward him and give him everything himself and Liverpool want entirely on their terms?

Brilliant.

My love for Newcastle is so much bigger than my hate for Liverpool. And I don't think we will get ripped off at all if we sell him for around £130m.

Considering I don't want to see him play for us ever again, the alternative of us not selling him is going to be so fucking bad for us. We don't have the means to replace him without getting money from his sale.

If we could sell him to someone else I would ofcourse prefer that.

And he is the agent that Isak chose and stuck with.

Sure he may be an asshole, but I dont care about him. This is all on Isak.

The final don't back down double down move of a desperate fool. It should only strengthen our resolve to tell him he's not going.

Your Newcastle career's over is it? Cool, so is your entire career probably, you can stay until 2028.

Fucking Judas Isakriot cunt.

If you can’t talk nonsense and dream a bit whilst making out it’s semi realistic in an online forum when can you! Let me indulge! ;)

Anyway for January I totally think we need to get Osimhen and Kvaradona and sell Barnes…

Would make it back and then some with excessively high wages and signing on fee, given liverpool would not have to pay a transfer fee at that point.

I'm absolutely not defending Isak's choices here, but have you ever tried saying no to a Serbian gangster ? People I know, who aren't me, who have tried, say they can be quite persuasive characters

Especially when very large sums of money are potentially coming their way

No, that would be a pretty slam dunk case of instigating a player to end their contract, which is heavily punished.

That’s absolutely disgraceful. I had a glimmer of hope we’d be able to smooth things over with him but his behaviour has been awful here. Fuck the little cunt into the reserves for 3 years. We’ve had our moneys worth for him already. Fucking rat.

I don't think it would be at all a slam dunk

This precedent will effectively end the transfer market as we know it. Even Liverpool aren't that desperate.

I hope there's not a single person who still thinks "just get rid" now. This should have backed all of us, including the club, into a corner where the only thing to do is come out swinging.

No club in the world can allow a player to go on like this and have their behaviour vindicated and seen to be. If we sell him now we want shot with shit.

The most important thing is to get replacements in regardless of the money tbh. If we don’t, we’re in a very weak position next summer as I can’t see many players wanting to hang around without Europe. We’re not qualifying for a major competition without a striker and with the squad depth as it is.

Fair doos, a point well made

We need to get my nana on the case, absolutely no-one would dare stand up to her down the community centre jumble sale when she'd slurped a couple of breakfast sherry's
