Just to people who trust everything Ornstein says, about Isak saying long before that he is leaving etc.

So he said in June that Isak is not going nowhere because we got to UCL

Isak agent needs to have a pop at Liverpool ffs :D He’ll be sold if they offer £150m, instead of us lowering our demands. He’s got 3 years left, stance is clear.

Isak doesn’t want to play football for a year, fine, so be it. Goes back to point ages ago, he’s being badly advised.

What a sad, bizarre saga this has been. Makes me appreciate the likes of Bruno, Big Joe, BDB all the more.

I think the club have to call his bluff, and will. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him pulling on the shirt again in a month’s time.

I honestly can’t believe how much of a dick this guy has been. He’s the best strikers we’ve ever had. We gave him a platform and Howe helped develop him to be one of the best strikers in Europe and he goes on like this?

We’ve got no option but to sell now. I hope it’s someone other than Liverpool that tries to match it.

Sorry.  But that is bollocks.

Turning really shitty this now. Bloke needs some self awareness. Where were Liverpool or any other 'big' team when he was hitting below average numbers at Sociedad? Cunt needs to learn some humility and realise how and why he's been elevated to this level.

Genuinely hope we stand firm on this. Fuck the money. Let him rot in the reserves and pick up his £120k a week. We'll move on from him and he can leave on a free when he's devoid of high-level competitive football for 3 years. Let's see how many clubs are queueing up for the cunt at that point.

As someone else mentioned, to have scored the winning goal in a cup final for us to being a bigger arsehole than Michael Owen in less than 5 months is a wild turnaround and takes a special kind of cuntish behaviour to achieve.

Go fuck yourself, Alex. We've had our moneys worth out of him already. Let the cunt rot.

It cost them a cup though. It's utter nonsense.

Not really at the Time we played both teams they were important games, Liverpool hadn't won the title yet and the rest were hoping of a toon win. Arsenal if we won we could easily of finished 2.

Got any opinions on moon landings and the shape of the earth?

Has there ever been a more hated NUFC player than Isak, apart from Owen? Seems intent on burning as many bridges as possible with no real solid exit plan.

Problem both the club and him have is, after he has acted like this, no one is going to want to cough up £150m for someone so unprofessional. His value is tanking by the day and we're not going to turn round and accept £110m after so publicly turning it down a couple of weeks ago.

He's going to end up 'stuck' here/we're going to be stuck with him until at least January. That's a long time to spend training by yourself.

Would make it back and then some with excessively high wages and signing on fee, given liverpool would not have to pay a transfer fee at that point.

He really wouldn't.  Liverpool would need to keep him in their wage structure or else they'll have half the club screaming for pay rises in that region, and any future signing will want the same signing on fee.

Salah is at 350k a week, so let's be generous to little Alex and give him 400k.  After taxes it would take him nearly 2 full years to break even - so effectively playing for free until 2027.  And that's not factoring in the opportunity cost of giving up his current salary.

There's a reason why no one has done it at this level of player before.

Provided we bring in striker cover its him that suffers more. He's damaging his reputation and his finite peak years

I don't trust everything he says at all, but I trust this.

He wouldn't risk his reputation making this shit up.

In a PSR world can we afford to hang onto a high earner who’s value will depreciate if he downs tools for a season?

Can we afford to set the precedent of act like an utter cunt, brief your mates in the media and use underhand tactics to reduce your value.  And we will sell you for less than your worth, no bother.

I have no interest in the PSR shite, but as I understand it.  In theory we could take slightly less next season and be better off from an amortisation standpoint.  Also, there is no way he will refuse to play for an entire season.  That would be career suicide.  Playing poorly on purpose would be just as bad from his POV.

He doesn't hold the cards here, we do.  Even if he hands a transfer request in, our stance shouldn't change.  £150m and he can go.  If not, fuck off.

I’m beyond hating the cunt at this point - I’d like him to just fuck off.  Not to Liverpool, just off.

Name a single example of a high profile (or even medium tier) transfer saga resulting in a player downing tools for a whole year.

We can take less next season if the number is £150m, but the only taker so far has offered £110m.  I note that a bidding war hasn’t exactly commenced - he could be worth a shitload less this time next year.

I genuinely hope you’re right but from a financial standpoint I think we’ve been done.

if he doesn’t leave and refuses to play I hope Lascelles aims two footers at his knees every day.

No, we can’t.  He’s already about 10% of our amortised transfer costs for the season.  We can’t sign two centre forwards and have him twiddling his thumbs, however satisfying it is.  If he stays he has to play.

Exactly this, he will toe the line as soon as the transfer window closes

Anyway, while this rat scurries back to his hole, lets go back to the more important discussion. Souness was a bigger stain on this club than Pardew, but not as big as Bruce.
