Completely coincidental that just when the mood is shifting he might have to stay that it ‘leaks’ he’ll never wear the shirt again and he’s moved home … totally normal , not agent/liverpool getting worried the deal won’t happen

Club aren’t budging, they’ve given him the 14 shirt again. Saving the 9 for Wissa!

I hope there's not a single person who still thinks "just get rid" now. This should have backed all of us, including the club, into a corner where the only thing to do is come out swinging.

No club in the world can allow a player to go on like this and have their behaviour vindicated and seen to be. If we sell him now we want shot with shit.

Unfortunately I'm seeing a good chunk of our fanbase are doing exactly that. One of the most popular podcasts The Toon Review has their main guy Paul this morning saying get him out and sold, and obviously that means at the price Liverpool will have dictated. I don't usually watch it just because I'm not a fan of "I'll say it like it is!" brain fart merchants like this.

Liverpool are taking the piss here, they are using the player, his agent and the media to do it.

Worst thing is that people are running with the fake news that he told Eddie he wanted to leave very early on. "Disgusting that you reneged on your gentlemen's agreement with him!" etc etc. Again if I were running the club, I'd be Nick DeMarco-ing these ghouls, pulling up all the receipts and suing them for whatever cause I can find. We're a multimillion-pound business after all, and this is resulting in a devaluation of a multimillion-pound asset.

Has he definitely said he will not play for NUFC again?

If so he’s going to miss out on the World Cup and Champions league football. I’d he prepared for that?

Challenge accepted.

Of course he hasn't definitely said it- that would put him in a position where he'd have to follow through with whatvis clearly a hollow threat.

Someone said that someone else said he said it which gives him plausible deniability if here's still here in September.

The absolute fucking rat. Agree with every comment about not bowing to pressure being much more lucrative to us than selling him at this point. Time to double down and make it even more difficult.

Fab the cunt just said Liverpool will make a new bid very soon

yea, all aligned. PIF please don’t let us down. What you need to do is just a public middle finger

The same Fab who insisted over the weekend that Liverpool will not bid "until Newcastle opens the door", out of respect for Newcastle and given the emphatic rejection of their last bid?

Gee, I wonder that his idea of "Newcastle opening the door" is? I hope we literally say "Fuck Off" and release a press statement saying the exact same. Just two words.

The implication being that they can lie about us opening the door.

So obviously all orchestrated and should be the dumbest plan imaginable providing we don't capitulate.

I've never found him particularly funny, I don't understand why people like him so much.

It's weird like, people I have a very similar sense of humour to seem to love him but I don't get it at all. I'll stick with Cowboy Henk.

And why not, they've literally lied about everything else.

I had originally given the benefit of the doubt "nah it cannot be a coordinated effort, who has the time?". Now I am firmly in team conspiracy. In fact, it's so damn obvious that the club should have an army of private investigators and lawyers going over records, man.

Need, and I can’t stress this enough, to reject the next paltry Liverpool bid off the back of this coordinated stunt. 150m or he doesn’t go. It’s as straightforward as that.

150 and a replacement in place. And that's the minimum requirement. And no, Wilson's replacement isn't Isak's replacement.

Just a lot of nonsense if you ask me.

How does he now that we haven't told him that either Liverpool meets the asking price or he stays?

Maybe thats exactly what we did and this was his response.

No-one knows what's gone on or been said behind closed doors, all we are getting is soundbites and stuff from potentially biased journalists.

I think its good that Jordan is calling it out though, and standing up for our side too.

Sincere hope this is our reaction. And in doing so drawing attention to Liverpool's 'response' last week

I agree but who though?

I hope I’m wrong here but I can see us capitulating and accepting a 130m plus add-ons deal.
