Isn't refusal to play a breach of his contract ? Couldn't we sue him and retain his registration so he cant play for another club ? I never want to see Isak in our colours again. Thought he was going to be our Henry but in the end he's our Van Hooijdonk. Wouldn't this ring alarm bells if you were Liverpool ? What's to stop him doing all this again if Madrid or whoever comes calling ? He's certainly violated the "no dickheads" policy. Also agreeing to a deal for any kind of fee is essentially giving in to the player and Liverpool. What example is that to other players ? Strike and get your way ?

Forgive my ignorance but are the current options:

1 Isak apologises sacks his agent, signs a contract with release clause stays for the season:

2 Isak puts in transfer request loses healthy loyalty and signing on cash and we wait for an acceptable offer;

3 Isak is banished to the stiffs for 3 seasons as PIF play hardball - he emerges at age 28 with career in tatters - obvious cost to club initial £+60m less depreciation and any supposed profit depending on size of bid;

4 Club accept lower offer just to get rid of a bad apple.

Does anyone know of any other options - for instance can we force him to go on loan to a club abroad, or can we sell his registration to a Israeli/Iranian/Russian/Chinese club etc.

Cheers

Surely how this has played out he can’t get a loyalty bonus anyway?

If water companies can give share holders massive bonuses, despite being billions in debt, anything is possible.

If that’s true he should never play for us again. It’s a shame we are so heavily reliant on him. All to play for, for a champions league place with 2 games to go and he’s going in agitating for a move. 2 games we lost btw. He’s an absolute cunt. It’s just a real shame he’ll go to Liverpool.

Dougie Hall and Freddie Shepherd took dividends out the club when we were making losses. Greed has no bounds.

Yeah how does putting in a transfer request means he loses loyalty bonuses but going on strike doesn’t

Is that when Joelinton apparently grabbed him by the neck ?

Because his contract says he gets a loyalty bonus provided he doesn't put in a transfer request.

Standard for all players and has been forever.

If that is true despite Epstein saying the opposite at the end of the season then that is an absolute cunts trick to say it before CL was secured.

Would make sense given how shit he was towards the end. 'Injured' before Arsenal away, too.

I just flat out don't believe the story that he said he wanted out two weeks before the end of the season.

It seems to have magically appeared now right as things are starting to look bad for him, seems a very desperate attempt to justify acting like a complete cunt.
