Without this clause, there'd be no mechanism to deny anyone their loyalty bonus, ever.  There's always be some argument over what actions were what side of which line. 

 

This way there's a very clear trigger. And clubs can ultimately demand a player submitted a transfer request. It feels ridiculous when Isak is trying to play the game but if the club play their side right, it'll work as intended.

Agreed for 99% at the time, but if he plays for Liverpool by then, a display about Isak would spark one of the best atmospheres we have ever heard.

I’m at the point where I would refuse to deal with Liverpool at all, as a point of principle. If it gets to a point where a new contract with release clause is signed, I’d ensure it was a significantly higher price for Liverpool and have that information leaked publicly, with the suggestion of it being due to their behaviour this summer. Take some control of the narrative back

Same here, we have to make a stand, otherwise it’s the end of us, make him stay even if it’s to another European club next season for £80m

Isak’s house burglary was likely the gang based out of Liverpool.
