Think it's also very telling that Isak himself hasn't actually said a single word (that I'm aware of) about the entire situation. He's feigned an injury, refused to play at Celtic, refused to go on tour, refused to rejoin the group and doesn't want to play for the club any longer but he's not even had the bollocks to say so himself. He's done it all through his agent, Romano, Ornstein and Jacobs. Not only is he a snidey cunt but he's a cowardly snidey cunt too. I'd at least have had a modicum of respect for him if he'd said something like "I've loved it here at Newcastle for 3 years but I want to move on and move to an even bigger club, I'll still play for Newcastle and do my best as I'm under contract but I'm looking to move on". Losing your best player, even for a world record fee, is always going to sting. However, I maintain that the vast majority of us understand the way the football food chain works and wouldn't begrudge him moving to pastures new if he went about it the right way. The part highlighted in bold, is the most palatable way and perhaps the only way to delicately handle the situation, ensuring you're not disrespecting the club and the fans. What you don't do is lurk in the shadows and get a lowlife, criminal gangster to pay the usual cartel fluffers to spout their digital diarrhea all summer long, derailing your clubs pre season, undermining the manager, pissing off your team mates and insulting the fanbase.

 

I'm still in complete shock in how quickly I've gone from worshipping the ground this guy walked on to fucking despising every fibre of his being.

Can’t be far off him doing an interview or quotes in press that are ‘direct’ from Isak.

 

Even during Kane saga when he didn’t play for spurs, the updates in press were direct from Kane links himself, this whole saga not one has been attributable to Isak directly. It’s so baffling.
