Menace
1 hour ago, Abacus said: The Times reported earlier he'd stuck his rental house on the market for a day or so, then took it off again. Then he put it back on the market again afterwards. At a guess, he's just making gestures to force something to happen. Which it won't because we haven't been offered enough even if he's currently seemingly determined on tanking his own value now to get it done. An even worse guess (as I go right through the looking glass here) is that's mainly because rather than getting a huge transfer fee cut his agent instead will get a hefty cut of any massively increased salary and then get it regularly from his meal ticket given that the agent is reportedly a pariah in a lot of places. Plus Isak can then allegedly* afford to try to bribe more women to pretend to soullessly like him in his tragic car shaped solo bed. *according to one poster here, citations needed. Plays against villa, scores a hat trick, and brings BBQ desserts and then I take it all back. Is it not because he's been burgled and his contract for the house is up for renewal? Mattoon
Why are so many people so sure he goes before the deadline? You actually think we'll enter a new season with a single striker who is off for a month at Christmas when the fixtures pile up? Madness.
Ben
I'm a twisty spiteful fucka so I'm at the stage where I want Samu and £70 million rather than than a half hearted Skinny Judas. I'm not even bothered if he goes to Liverpool because I'll get great satisfaction sticking pins in the legs of my Skinny Judas Vooddoo doll.

He isn't invested in our success. As soon as Wissa is a done deal, get him gone. Anything over £130M is great and we'll sign another CF.

Seems it upset him a bit but there was nothing even approaching the sort of carry on we’ve seen from Isak from Gordon last year, when he probably had far more cause to be upset. We'd actually arranged the medical for him to do in Germany during the England camp. It was as good as done. He's admitted it blew his head up for a while, which I can't blame him for at all, but yeah, the contrast with Isak is massive and shows he deserves credit overall. Mazzy
Who's doing his celebration when they score against Liverpool then? My money would've been on Murphy but he'd have to actually score so I'm going to say Schar.
Mattoon
The only reason I don't want him to go now is to spite Isak and Liverpool and not set a precedent for other players. As for Isak I'm over it, starting to feel like looking back on an ex, you thought they were the most amazing thing in the world when you were together and once you gain some space and clarity you start to see their flaws, the lack of endurance, the games where he just vanished or looked uninterested, the 1v1's he'd fluff almost every time, maybe he's not all that after all? Get rid of our prized asset when we only have Wilson's replacement in, and who is going ot be gone for January? If Liverpool could get Suarez back on track for a season, then we probably have a good shot of doing the same with Isak.

Before he kicked off if someone came in with 150mill I'd seriously have considered it.

Yes it's important to look strong, but it's more important to be in the best possible position to win games. I'm certain Eddie won't want to keep him here if his head and heart aren't in it, doesn't matter how good he is. Last thing we need is a mentally absent (or literally absent as things stand) striker, who at best would be going through the motions, with no money to bring in someone to at least partially fill that void. Close to your valuation, and "at your valuation" are two different things, selling at "close to" is a concession IMO. Before he kicked off I'd have seriously considered it too, but as he has kicked off, any compromise on our part could be seen as weak and you can be damn sure the client scouse press will report it as a win for the dippers and a loss for us.
