Sounds like nobody has a good relationship with that cunt of an agent.  I think it will be more down to Howe and if he wants him back in the team.  Not a chance Isak just sits out for the year or half arses it if he wants a decent move next season.  The whole Mitchell thing is quotes being smart after the event from journos, as per usual.  Of course they all knew this was going on.  But only just reported on it the last few weeks or so.  Who could have briefed them on that, I wonder?.....

 

2. Pretty telling that there are no direct quotes from the agent, Isak or anyone in his camp.  No transfer request, the supposed injury.  Even though bridges may be burned.  There are so many similarities with other high profile cases and it feels like a deliberate ploy to not entirely destroy all avenues back into the squad.  Plausible deniability.

There may not have been an official statement from Kane (although there hasn't been one from Isak either...) but he didn't need to - he literally didn't play. He wasn't in the squad for their first game, came off the bench in the second then started the third. 

 

No, the first point is that they got to that stage over contractual issues and similar "gentlemen's agreements" and fixing it required leadership from the club besides the manager. They worked their issues out. Isak isn't coming to the table to work anything out.

Sorry mate but I don't think " I will never play for the club again" has much clout when he realises he can't play for anyone else either, again I personally think he'll relent at some point when it sinks in.

I'm not sure but I think a transfer request means his agent gets nowt which is unlikely since Isak appears to be his cash cow or whatever, fuck him anyway.

Loads of cash for a "deal done extremely lately" is no good to us at all.

If those bridges aren’t totally destroyed then there’s a chance he plays for us again. I think us fans will give him another chance if Howe asks us to.

 

He’s lost any chance of legend status or warmth from the fans, but I don’t really think he was that adored anyway in comparison to Bruno or Tonali.

Go full scorched earth on your agent, do an apology, and maybe, maybe you'll get in the first team enough to make the world cup, before being shipped off to anywhere but Liverpool in the summer. 

 

There's no long term future with him now, that much is clear. We get max a year out of him, and that's a 'best case scenario' if you want him playing for you at all.

When it comes down to it they're professional. If Isak were to come back and put the work in theyd get on with it, not as before but better than not, knowing it's temporary. Like splitting up with a partner but living amicably in the same gaff until able to move on.

Given what Howe has said in that video a couple of pages back, it clearly is affecting staff, players, the team, the club, which it absolutely cannot do.

 

I am only repeating what I have said previously, but he cannot come back in to the fold, he's isolated himself in a ridiculous manner, following no doubt horrific advice from his agent.

 

He's burned too many bridges and if I was his team-mate, I probably wouldn't want him near the team again in fairness.
