If that was true and we were going Wissa and Gordon, then why would we bother giving them Isak. Just let him rot until January in that case.

 

If we have a plan to reinvest the money and the club see it as being in their best interests to sell, then fair enough, but that doesn't seem like the case.

He has to say that, it’s becoming increasingly clear that we are not getting 2 forwards in, and Sky Sports need transfer news to continue running. This is their biggest news story and they want it running up to and including deadline day to have people sat back watching it on SSN.

 

No one watches deadline day anymore. We don't need the money just now, even if we went into hock for another striker, January is just as good, as is next June, from a PSR cycle standpoint.
