The College Dropout
Liverpool do need another attacker. They’ve got 4 but they’ve sold their positionally flexible players.
kingxlnc
It's crazy that when you think about it... it's literally been only just a month since all this kicked off. 19 July was the day he said he wasn't going on tour. Before that, he was seemingly fine and we were thinking that Ekitike was being signed to play with him etc (which I still think was the original plan). With the amount of reporting and news coverage - 24/7 in some cases - it feels like it's been never-ending. In the age of social media, a month is like a year. Emotic
I mean, we currently have zero replacement for Wilson, much less Isak, and looks like we have zero clue who to replace Wilson with (much less Isak), so unless the relationship has totally gone down the shitter such that we expect a bag of 110 million pounds in cash upfront is better than Isak, I can see us issuing a hands-off on the night we play Liverpool. Club statement from a few days back said "We do not foresee those conditions being met". I daresay that's even less likely to happen now. So unless the club wants to look like utter chumps in letting Liverpool get even more strikers while we have zero.... JP
Just sat and thought about it, we don't have a ~£150m playing in a premier league game because he doesn't want to. Crazy stuff and can't stress enough how unprofessional it is.

Sibierski
That's left way open. Romano and the gang to tweet away now today that an offer will come on Tuesday and Isak is expecting it to be accepted. Going to be who blinks first really. We are not looking likely to bring in a striker we want, so either we keep him and Isak blinks and comes back next week, or we blink first in fear that Isak literally won't come back all season and sell even though we won't replace him this summer. TheHoob
From the beeb, no sign of Ryder's quote but a different feel I would say. Quote Asked how the rest of the squad feel about the Alexander Isak sitation, Eddie Howe said: "I have no doubt about how the players will feel. They will feel same way I do. Alex is a fantastic player, he's a good person, a good character and a good lad. "If Alex wanted to come back and play for us the players would welcome him." Quote Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak: "My preference for these things it that it doesn't happen publicly. Everything is better dealt with behind closed doors but in this situation, needs must and in this situation the club has spoken and justifiably so in that moment." On whether he can return to the squad: "Of course [I want him to], he is contracted to us and he is our player. My wish is that he will be playing with us on Monday and 100% I want to see him back in a Newcastle shirt." Quote Asked if he has been speaking to Alexander Isak, Howe said: "When I see him we speak as normal, there are no issues between us. "When we see each other we are fine." "No, there's been no change" about Alexander Isak's sitation, says Eddie Howe. "Yeah, he wont be part of the squad for this weekend's game." duo
The press are still trying to push the narrative that he'll be sold to Liverpool - not in a million years now. It's over - finished - Isak is not being sold. Of course he can be re-integrated. Idiotic to think otherwise.
