That statement from Isak still has me absolutely fuming and shows just what a selfish cunt he is. The statement only transpired to explain and justify his absence from an award ceremony. Absolutely no statement to explain his absence from doing his fuckin job. He’s absolutely fucked us this summer to the extent that it’s almost impossible to get a replacement for Wilson because other clubs know we are desperate. I just really wish someone like psg or Madrid came in for him and not Liverpool and we could get the selfish prick to fuck

Our wage bill is about 220M. If you assume Liverpool has a far larger organization with loads more low salaries for loads more admin staff, it likely means their first team will be on at least 50% more than our lads, with bigger spikes for their superstars.

In Isak's case, Liverpool aren't being potential. They are buying the finished article. Feels like add ons are for when a player may or may not achieve certain levels or standards.

Less than Coutinho 8 years ago. With inflation Coutinho was 180 mil. 150 is too low by far in my opinion, it should be 150 guaranteed, 25 in add ons if he, scores 20 goals in a season, pool win a title makes 100 appearances  etc

No but his agent's job is to get it as high as possible within Liverpool's wage structure. When we were the best option at the table, the wage was as high as possible within our wage structure.

 

Only an incompetent agent would settle for less. The reality is that Liverpool can and do pay way higher wages than us. It's not a simple 10k or 20k more  It is likely 50% more, as suggested by their wage costs in their accounts. We do not hear more about this because too many people benefit from the myth of football being a remotely fair competition.

Inflation is bollocks when it comes to transfers though. Coutinho was also peak Barca stupidity, so even harder to use as a gauge. £150m that’s realistic, is the value especially with a disgruntled striker where we don’t know what he will do in September. 
 

I’m sure club will be same in thinking, and not some fairy thoughts of £200m.

It should be made as tough as possible for Liverpool to do the deal after all the drama caused and a no value bid. 

 

I'd keep pushing Liverpool until they offered £150m and the second they offered £150m I'd reject it after all the heartache caused to the club, fans and obviously the backroom staff working hard to get a replacement in. 

 

Few hours of the transfer window to go I would demand £160m all up front and no addons crap.

Look at how Brentford do business. If they can have us over the barrel for a 29-year-old wantaway with two years left, surely the club owned by the richest sovereign wealth fund in the world can take its cue from there and hold fast for a 25-year-old wantaway with three years left?
