Can't say I remember in any detail the strops thrown by Suarez, Rooney et al (I'm sure fans of their clubs could give better insight), but can anyone think of another instance like this?

Just seems pretty unprecedented.

Anelka at Arsenal maybe? Don’t really remember the details.

Gallas threatened to score an OG iirc

Kane (wanting away to city) downed tools, went awol and wouldn’t train initially. He came back into the fold and had a banger of a season. I hope that’s our bench mark. I want this fucker to have to do the walk of shame. He hasn’t put in. A transfer request. Says it all.

Suarez was very similar. Refused to train (don’t know if he refused to play) did an interview with the Guardian.

Howe clearly indicated that it is out of his hands. Yasir will make the final decision and I've said a few times the Saudis don't take kindly to be made to look like mugs

Yeah I know what he said, but last night, the way Yasir waited for him pitch side. I don't know it was like, "its up to you mate". Like I say brain mush and over thinking.

Was he saying the same things - in terms of insisting he won't play and wanting to move to a specific club?

Sick of hearing about this cunt. Every podcast, phone in and article about us. 6 days to bring in a striker (or 2) and the main local journos barely seem interested in it. It’s a given Isak never plays for us again.

The only thing remotely bothering me now is the prospect of us caving to this cabal of cunts,if that happens now I will be sick to my fucking stomach

This. Can't relax until the window closes and he's still here. Don't care if he plays or not, we can't sell him to those cunts.

Van Hooijdonk went on strike for ages didn't he?

The bullish-ness from our side is mostly from Edwards who seems to be getting his info from Jamie Reuben.

The problem is that nobody (at least none of the local or national press) have a direct line to Yasir so anything that will ultimately be decided by him - the CEO, the stadium and by all accounts the situation with Isak - is unknown. It may be that Reuben is dead set against selling unless they get a ludicrous offer, but if Yasir decides to cut ties then that's what will happen.

Personally I'd be happier he stays and we have to deal with integrating him back into the squad and all that entails than see us cave into the cuntish behaviour from everyone on the other side of the deal. Neither are a great option.

This window has been a nightmare, not in terms of the players that have came in as we’ve done some smart business but this fucking saga. Being on the wrong end of it is exhausting, plus a double whammy of going for players and getting knocked back.   Can’t wait for it to be shut man

This as a fuck you to LiVARpool and any other chancing lowballers. Any future want away players. Also for Isak to have to face the walk of shame as he will come back into the fold and he will score goals when he does.

This is some reverse Dele Alli stuff. Amazing talent fully nurtured and realised but only with so much selfishness and apathy for others that he is willing to cut all relation to those who helped him along the way
