He basically said his agent approved the contract with no get out and Isak signed it. He then explained that the agents gets say 10% of the total contract worth but the payments to the agent could be completed by say year 3. This then means that certain agents immediately want the next move as they’re not making anymore money from the contract.

He was pretty passionate about the situation. Promises mean nothing without it in writing, Newcastle are completely in the right and that Lpool should expect to pay the going rate.

Really refreshing to hear.

Tim "listen - I ain't gonna forget about this by the time we hit the motorway ... some might" Sherwood  please enlighten us on player management. Looked like he wanted to shank someone after every game

Kind of amazed someone like Chelsea haven't come along and tried to muscle in on the Scouse creeps, they don't seem to mind stockpiling all other positions. Liverpool having seemingly free rein to unsettle him, weaponize reporters and media outlets and talk about him constantly has to be one of the biggest frustrations of this, he should been the subject of a bidding war really.

I wish voices like this were more prominent. Perhaps the eScousers would get it through their skulls that Isak's motives are a lot more cynical than wanting to play in front of a bunch of Irish tourists swaying their scarfs in the Kop during YNWA. He could do that at Celtic!

Doesn't really matter what he goes for the media will make out big old Liverpool have got their way over little old Newcastle. Not even worth listening to.

Either way I'm excited about the new season now.

Would genuinely shake with rage.

Considering what others (including us and Liverpool) are paying for unproven PL players £130m for him is a joke. It's bad enough to capitulate on the situation, if we capitulate on the fee we want shot with shit, I still have absolutely no idea why the club are being so unbelievably and needlessly subservient to a club and player that have acted disgracefully towards them.

He's bad news though. As good a striker as he might be, he's toxic at the moment.

How can people be so fucking thick?

Why are Sky Sports like some sort of care in the community, not for profit charity that employs those with learning difficulties?

Honestly, the absolute state of the so called pundits they have. It’s not like he is even trying to go with a clickbait angle there. He is just being monumentally thick.

Glad I barely watch live TV these days

Fella next to him (presumably on Liverpools payroll) looks proper pissed that Andrew’s was talking facts and common sense.

Media desperate for Isak to join these plastic cunts, they must be seen to win the deal as well and that we’ve buckled on the price.

Can’t understand Downie’s logic as well, we absolutely have the money for a 2nd striker without selling Isak. The problem is PSR and where these deals leave us, even if we hold on and sell Isak to someone else for 100 million next year it would be worth it.

Downie thinks Liverpool are holding the cards, nah we’ve got our striker and if he doesn’t want to play after September he rots.

There’s an agent on Sky Sports now absolutely slaughtering Isak and especially his Agent. Brutal.

Just seen it. Wow... the presenters literally had nothing to say once he'd finished about Isak and his agent. Awkward silence and move onto Spurs.

But, our move for Big Nick has 'opened the door to Liverpool for Isak' apparently.
