He can be the Wilson replacement this season while we look for a younger alternative to Wissa with a higher ceiling. Not a bad situation for us IMO. Maybe if he lit up the Champs League this season but we may never know that. There is no material reason to sell him for a lowball amount. Worse case he sits out for the season and we sell him, hopefully elsewhere, and people know we don't fuck about. Best case he comes back in and drives his value up even further. All this only being able to fine him x wages if he doesn’t play nonsense is meaningless - if he doesn't meet his contractual obligations I'm sure the club will take legal action against him to recover those wages "losses".
