If the club are taking a long term look then we reject everything, make a stand and keep him regardless. Standing firm sends out a message to players, agents and all other clubs that being a dick and having a tantrum will only have a negative impact of the player's career and simply won't work. I'm strongly in this camp and this is what I'd do

However, I can understand the logic of just getting the snake out for as much as we can (even though he's worth more) just to resolve the situation and blow the dark clouds that have been hanging around for months now. I bet Howe's sick as fuck of even talking about him and every press conference and every game is being scrutinised with the emphasis on Isak not being there. He's hogged the spotlght even though he's not kicked a ball and getting shot of all of that must be tempting. But that's rewarding Isak, his agent and Liverpool for how they've gone about things - yes, it solves the problem immediately but it'll create more problems in the future as he'll have fucking won, it'll have worked in the end and given other players a blueprint as to how to get out. Really hope we go long term and fuck this lad off until January even if it means short term pain

It gives the club a way back in with Isak if they don't bid or don't bid enough.

I think they will like.

Ah ok, fair enough. I think it’s a reach unless we’re assured that they won’t go to £130m

I’m sorry but he’s flip flopping all over the place , he’s essentially rubbishing his own article already … what an airhead

Aye, he's all over the place. Friday it was "a change in mood music", tonight's it's "on a knife edge". Don't be surprised if tomorrow it's a "precariously balanced powder keg". There'll be some condescending smug twitter activity from him tomorrow evening, regardless of what happens.

Id advise you all to prepare for Isak leaving.

Im actually surprised at the reaction because id resigned myself to the probability ages ago.

Hes put the club in an awful position.

We are basically taking a wrecking ball to our season without getting a PL proven striker in though.  Woltemade needs time / support.

The mood music does sound like £130m now does it.  Isak has successfully acted the cunt and reduced his value accordingly.  It’s a dangerously precedent to set - and the club better have another striker onboard if he goes otherwise perfectly reasonable questions will be asked about the competence displayed this summer.

Perhaps Yasir struck a deal with Isak: if Liverpool don’t offer 130 then you stay and reintegrate. If they do, you can go.
The latter would only be acceptable if we have another striker in the bag to sign.

I reckon we would always have gone at this fee

does it not make it stupid though that we couldn’t have kept Isak sweet in the mean time ?

£130m is a fair bid imo, but not on the last day if we can't find a replacement or have to overpay to get one.

If they throw in Elliot and we get Jackson/Wissa!

At the start 130-140m always seemed to be the logical/realistic area of a deal imo. They have however rightly pissed our higher brass off so I can see the club not wanted to go down that low now.

We will likely lose 10-20m off his value in January though, similar in the summer if he isnt playing on top form. Its a gamble either way.

I just get the feeling that Howe feels the bridge has been fully burnt by this point and wont want to attempt re integrate him into the squad, it just goes against all the ethics and standards he has carefully managed and set.

Isak and his camp have tried to reduce his value and lower the fee which obviously Liverpools end have also had a part in, just such a mess. Going public like he did was the end of his chances of being in the squad after midnight tomorrow imo.

I don’t think any of the parties involved has come out of this looking good, including NUFC’s current top brass and two former members of it (that useless cunt Mitchell and the sainted Staveley)

Wissa has acted like a cunt but has increase his value. Our owners are weak as fu*k if we sell Isak for £130M tomorrow.
