This is it like.

We wanted 150 and a replacement, we've allowed them to pay 125 and we've got no replacement.

I refuse to accept that the club didn't have a choice. They did. It may have been a calculated decision (made by who?) but it's a poor one.

The club specifically said that we'd only sell if our conditions had been met. Laughable really.

True but maximising the sale means the maximum you can actually get, not exactly what you want.

Let’s hope there’s a deal done in the background for a striker.

We’ve not maximised this sale though. That’s the point.

And we  are also signing players on a premium.

This deal and the others we have made this summer are not great for PSR.

He's worth what Liverpool are willing to pay. The problem here is Isak, not us. Isak cut away our negotiating leverage. You could argue we may have got £135m if we'd said a month ago 'Here's our price, we're willing to sell, Liverpool come and pay it' but that would have resulted in Isak going pre-Woltemade.

He's gonna do it all again in a few years when Barca/Real come knocking anyway. Glad he's gone, he's fucked up the start of our season, but it's just 3 games. Let's go have a stormer now.

Honestly not sure he’ll do well enough to get that move. Unless his 60 minute shutdown and drifting out of games was deliberate.

Could be wishful thinking like

Isak eventually you’d assume but he’s different type of player it seems.

On his thread it seems that he's played up top for the majority so he might not be exactly like for like style wise, but not necessarily a bad thing. Interesting to see how it develops

Football with all its rules is a totally different world now…

we’ve just sold a sulky little twat for 130m bastard quid… forget about all the noise from the media… who’s to say that wasn’t what we would have taken anyway and we drove the price up from £110m… and maybe that all falls in place with our financial plans…

We can flex as much muscle as we want but whether we like it or not, until we’re up there with the Big 6 we’re still going to have to box clever… and fuckin about with Isak is pointless… we need to focus on the league and cups, do well in the champions league and generate more income…

Oh I'm absolutely hoping he goes the way of Carroll now

Also we’ll need to trade our big players in order to navigate PSR, it’s part of the game now. It’s why I don’t want the club to go out and buy just any player for 50-60 million, not that they would. We should be looking for a loan deal today, Jackson would be the most likely.

I think given the constant media talk about two strikers coming in (an Isak replacement and a Wilson one), it's not a massive stretch to assume that the club saw that as a priority before Isak could be sold and meant that when they said conditions weren't met. They could have meant something entirely different, I suppose. But that's not exactly showing a strong position if the conditions were indeed less than that very basic need for the squad.

Maybe, but think misquoting their statement with our own interpretation isn't helpful, especially when then used to beat them with it.

Plenty of other facts to be used if that's your poison!

Football at the top level is rotten to the core, sooner the game implodes the better.

It's not going to implode unfortunately, what we will see is a continued funnell of money and support to cartel clubs as the rest simply can't compete with them weather it's due to a lack of means or rules to prevent it.

This is why they did the whole lowballing, not bidding, and waiting for open door thing.. £125m would've been rejected before, and then it would be difficult to expect the same bid to get accepted now.

We'll see this VC money keep coming into the game for a while, but what happens after that?  Cartel probably make it a closed league even more I suspect.

I'm sure people are being a lot more reasonable, but I honestly hate the cunt.

The few redeeming features he may have had (there are few barring being a cold finisher) he's absolutely snaked us at every point. The club, his teammates, the fans which is the absolute worst one.

What the fuck have we as fans done to deserve him holding our club to ransom, posting FB mam posts about snakes Hun xxx, and all the while not even a token gesture of the shit he's lumped onto us.

Genuinely think he's on par with Owen, characterless greedy fuck.

Liverpool attacking backup is currently  Elliot, Chiesa and the Rio lad.  We could’ve pushed them further.

Levy routinely gets his value. He got £100m for a 30 year old Kane with 1 year left on his contract. Only Bayern interested.

One of Wolves or Brentford will get within 5% of their asking price I’m convinced.

did I misquote them or just assume that the conditions talked about by the media ad infinitum since the whole Isak saga began were also included those conditions?

Isak really. But he needs to get used the league. Isak had Callum Wilson playing to help/give him time to bed in that first season, which will be why EH wants another with premier league experience, ala Wissa or Larsen.

Ideally yeah, but every other team seems happy to get players in immediately...Ekitike and Gyokeres have plenty of pitch time. Haaland got the golden boot in his first year.

Not comparing, and potentially a risk, but happy to see how it goes for now.

Hopefully rusty and will get injured soon.

If Eales or some non-Eddie spokesman is still around, it would be nice to wheel him out on Sky Sports and say Isak is going because we can't pay him 300k a week. PSR won't let us and we'd be docked points. If he could say the specifics of the wage negotiations with Isak, that would be great. He also could list off the other players who've been PSR sales at other clubs and use the word "unfair" at least twice. He should finish by saying PSR makes the Saudi's money irrelevant.

It wouldn't change anything, but would make Sky Sports talk about PSR for two minutes to break up the Liverpool lovefest.

I mean in theory your right it could all crash if all these vcs sell and the liquidity is sucked out but the way capitalism is it seems unlikely as asset valuations continue to rise without anything fundamentally backing them up. See bitcoin.

I think he's far surpassed that pointless little man in the cunt stakes, like.

125m is the maximum Liverpool were willing to pay, after a summer of deliberately unsettling him. So our only option is to let him go on their terms?

Its so incredibly weak.

Maybe we give don that once the window closes.
