Of course, from a vindictiveness point of view, we want the whole lot.

But if given the choice between team success and personal failure, or team failure and personal success, I reckon the majority would go for option one.

Not that it’s ever likely to be that clear cut.

I’m the opposite. If he looks back on his career and his only trophies are with us and Sociedad - hes a prick.

If he goes, flops but they keep winning major trophies. He was right to move, he just flopped.

Not sure, if you win a trophy that you haven’t really contributed to, have you really won it?

I guess it probably depends on your mentality, and also your standing within the squad.

For example, John Ruddy, didn’t play for us last season (and probably didn’t get a medal?), but he appeared to do the job that was required of him, so if that was me, I’d feel like I’d contributed to winning the trophy.

If you’re a £130m striker that has been brought in to be the top dog and score loads of goals, and you don’t get anywhere near delivering that, I’m not sure you’d get the same satisfaction out of a trophy win, even if you got a medal.

He definitely is. I liked him at first but his recent comments. He wheeled out the Man U were playing long balls after that match

The premier league is getting to him, especially since their record signings groin muscles have now gone on strike.

Brilliant move by Paul Mitchell this, knew he was damaged gods & leveraged him out the door to them numpties

Takes me back to my motor trading days in the 90s when I sold a cut n shut Tipo to some nugget from Wallsend, arse end was hanging out of it a bit like Isak, sumptious.

Wonder if slot has the same regrets I had after buying a fiat tipo off some cowboy backstreet garage in consett and broke down as soon as I got back to wallsend. If I ever meet that sales bastard again he’s getting it.

I'm thinking Torres CL. Had a big moment. Isak will get minutes he won't sit on the bench and never get off.

Which would you choose:

A) Liverpool winning league and having all round excellent season but Isak fails miserably not scoring a PL goal, considered one of the worst transfers in history.

B) Liverpool don’t win a trophy and miss out on CL qualification, resulting in Slot’s sacking, but Isak bangs in 25+ and wins Golden Boot.

B

I hate Liverpool and their fans more than Isak.

Let's be honest, the main purpose for the move was a massive pay rise. Joining a club which is already winning trophies year in year out would also have been a factor.

I can't really hold that against him tbh, most players will do the same thing. But he could have been less of a cunt about it, I think that is what rankles with most people.

Makes sense now.

His groin is fucked so he was a ticking time bomb.  He didn't want to get injured with us so did NUFC a favour and covered it up just like Tonali.

Massive respect tbh 💪

I said it during the summer but it struck me as weird that Isak was anxious to join Liverpool just as Trent, Konate, Diaz, and others (VVD to PSG, Mac Allister to Real) were anxious to leave. Liverpool are a much bigger club than us, but they are not top of the football tree. Pressing so hard to join them now is a little suspicious. Isak could have signed a deal with a lower release clause and gone pretty much anywhere for a lower fee and bigger signing bonus one year later. All he had to do was play twenty five games and convert seven penalties and a dozen crosses from Murph et al.

The theory/cover story we got at the time was that it was going to be the last big payday from his agent before retirement.

I saw that comment and convinced myself it couldn't possibly be true and that it must have been some AI generated thing. Did he really say it ?

Aye he said it. It’s everyone else’s fault that they’ve been losing as they haven’t played the way Liverpool like

The fact Slot feels the need to even make that comment about smaller clubs means we're living rent free in his bitter, baldy heed - it's glorious how it's all turned out so far, just for these first couple of months alone it's been fantastic karma for Liverpool showing themselves for what they are - pathetic, under-handed, attention-seeking, victim complex tossers.
