Its the opposite, tbf. Rhinos fans are generally from sub urban areas a bit outside, football fans generally closer to the City Centre. Its still not a footballing City, though.

Where I grew up football was the only game in town (drug dealing isn't a game so doesn't count)

Just saw the score hahahaha Salah kicking off at all. This is so beautiful, fucking loathsome cunts.

#freesalah (literally release him so our daft owners don't continue to fund them).

It was a fun game to watch, like us against Burney except we won.

Interviewer to Salah: "You're one of the greatest players in Liverpool's history. Can you believe it might end like this?"

Salah: "Somehow it will end but the thing in my head is like why it should end this way? Because I am too fit, just five months ago I was just winning every individual award so why should it go this direction?

"I'm sorry everybody in a team is not in his form yet I'm the one has has to defend himself now."

He has to be talking about the fucking rat, right?

This cunts demise hasn’t surprised me at all. We rescued him from Spanish mediocrity and shaped to his strengths. Think the youngin is thick as fuck to be honest. Skinny bastard gave me my biggest rush of black and white adrenaline in my lifetime but such is my bitterness at his vile behaviour since, I cannot watch the game back. That hurts my soul.

Liverpool's main issue is the goals against column, which you cannot blame on their attackers. Man City's defence went to shit when their star DM was out for the season. Liverpool's has gone to shit with the DM the pundits and eScousers insist is a star still in the team.

If anything, I reckon the eScousers generally underrate Salah, because it would mean admitting there have been times when they are a one-man team. This will be especially painful for them, when that one man does not do interviews and does not come out with the "we're a special club" BS they want to hear and has periodically questioned whether glorous LFC have been paying him what he's worth.

Liverpool now on 48 goals conceded in 2025 in 34 PL games. For recent form, you can also add the 3-0 to Palace in the EFL and them shipping 4 to PSV in the CL. From appointing Slot to the 3-3 at SJP almost exactly a year ago, they barely conceded any goals.

Inter away for them on Tuesday then home to Brighton next week. Inter are fourth in the CL standings with a record of

P5 W4 D0 L1 F12 A3 off mostly easy games. The defeat was last time out 2-1 away at Atleti.

I mean they’ve been playing guys who aren’t full backs at RB for a chunk of the season. Salah’s refusal to track back is absolutely a part of their goals against. Although taking him out of the team hasn’t fixed it, granted

I completely agree with the second point, Salah is a generational player for them, he’s the symbol and a large part of the reason they went from the nearly club they had become to seemingly a dominant force. It’s very hard to replace lightning in a bottle like that.

Nah, just making references to Yorkshire being superior to Lancashire in every way. He may come up with that though.

The Yorkshiremans motto always makes me laugh

"Ear all, see all, say nowt; Eat all, sup all, pay nowt; And if ivver tha does owt fer nowt – Allus do it fer thissen"

Basically translates to I'm a tight fisted, greedy, self centred cunt with no craic. Sounds about right..

Some of these quotes are fucking hilarious.

It's difficult to know what is real and what is fake at the moment.

Not a criticism but I never ever got the feeling that Leeds was a football city when I lived there. Whenever the cricket was on at Headingley it seemed like a much bigger deal to everyone and rugby seemed like it was as popular as football as well, possibly more actually.

Aye, perhaps. I just see a lot of Elland Road standing and singing and a real feeling of pride that they are "Leeds" and the way they have the banter with us but ultimately see what we see and are principalled with someone like Isak just all rolls together into them being a good, Northern bunch. Perhaps less so back in the day like, and as you say you have probably encountered different which cannot be argued with.

Stop! Stop! Stop! This is all coming in too fast, I'm still enjoying Slot's comments about Jacob Murphy, I haven't even got round to the Salah interview yet!

How much schadenfreude can one man possibly handle?

To be honest even I started to wonder whether we have overhyped him when he’s still here. I mean we genuinely believe he is the best striker in the world back at that time. And now it does looks like we are also an idiot.

Defence went to shit ever since Slot has forced Wirtz into the side and it’s meant one of Grav / Mac / Szob has needed to play elsewhere or be dropped.

Losing TAA was massive to them. They then compounded it by changing up midfield to accommodate Wirtz, then signed a £125m striker that doesn’t help Salah :D Raved about in the media, but it is showing to be a WOAT window. Especially when you add in likes of Frimpong / Kerkez who have been poor at best and selling of players like Quansah which has meant Konate playing every game going.

They’ve turned on the manager, turned on Isak, turned on Salah. Just hook it to my veins please.

Inter, Brighton and Spurs next. All those games could go badly for them.
