Looking forward to seeing Wirtz and Isak in a graphic like this. Zero in 14 PL games now for Wirtz. Only 36 more to qualify. 2 in 8 for Isak, so a strong start for the 145M euros-to-justify man.

Liverpool are loaded so their spend shouldn't actually matter very much. It matters loads however, because of ex-Liverpool pundits and eScousers ramming some notion of them being the best club with money down everyone's throat. With this summer, they have blown that one out of the water.

Isak has 1 in 8, not 2. (League)

He has 2 in 13 in all

comps.

Not a criticism but I never ever got the feeling that Leeds was a football city when I lived there. Whenever the cricket was on at Headingley it seemed like a much bigger deal to everyone and rugby seemed like it was as popular as football as well, possibly more actually.

From spending a lot of time in the Leeds/Bradford area as my lass is from there I've noticed just how common it is to see other big club shirts out and about and in pubs - something you don't get anywhere near as much in Newcastle.

There's also a really limited non-league scene around that area which always surprises me. I'd attribute it to the sporting bandwidth that rugby and cricket absorb.

All this bollocks about Leeds being a rugby city. Leeds Utd sell out 40k every game. Rhinos get like 16k.

36k. They were averaging 25k less than 10 years ago though and in fact they've never averaged over 40k in a season in their entire history which is pretty remarkable considering it's the 3rd biggest city in the UK and they are the only team in it.

Liverpool fans are losing their minds at slot saying they need a player of Jacob Murphy's qualities to help Isak while arguably their greatest ever player in the premier league era who plays in that position is on the bench

But Salah doesn't provide assists like Murphy did.  Salah prefers going for goal.

He's got over a hundred assists for them man!

Not knocking Murphy but there is no comparison

Murphy has proved himself a decent Premier league level player capable of contributing in a team pushing to catch the best.

Salah has been a fucking legend over the last decade (feels dirty saying it but howay)

I still don’t know what it means - wtf is a ‘charger’?

The joke when Isak failed to hit the ground running was that we'd sold them an iPhone (Isak) but kept the charger (Murphy) implying the former was useless without the latter.
