People wanting to sell to those fuckers at a discount absolutely blow my mind.

What do you mean? What could be the long term repercussions of openly advertising to clubs that all they need to do is cause a bit of a stink via Twitter shills.. sorry, "journalists" and we'll cave on selling our best players at a favourable price.

No way the likes of Real Madrid or PSG going for Tonali in 12 months time would ever read anything into that.

Would love to be in a negotiation with some of youse on here. Be like taking kets from a bairn

We’ll either sell him, keep him and reintegrate, or keep him and exclude

All options still on the table. NUFC get to decide whether he stays or goes should an offer be made and they’ll do whatever they believe is best for our club. Not what’s best for ratboy or the scousers

I find it mental that people are willing to bend over and be shafted by a lowball offer from Liverpool after all he's done as this is exactly what him, his agent and Liverpool have all been angling and spreading shite through twitter cunts all summer.

If he isn't willing to reintegrate then stick him in the reverses and fine him a week's wages for every reverse game he refuses to play.

He won't be near the first team to disrupt them and the financial impact won't be that great, his remaining book value gets amortised over time, or recognised when he gets sold, that total amount doesn't change no matter what.

We'd likely be selling him at a similar discount by taking the 1 offer on the table from a club we all fucking despise or by taking a discounted value sale from him sitting in the reserves all year.

The bolded bit especially makes no sense, as the next PSR deadline is a whole 10 months away.

People will be born whose parents haven't even met yet before we need that money.

There are two options:

1) journalists are just guessing about PSR.

2) the club are pushing the PSR thing to journalists to soften the impact of the sale.

Still feels incredibly simple to me. A conclusive no to any approach by Liverpool, such is our right. Sell him for whatever any other club is willing to offer us in January/next summer. If that's £95m then so be it, the value in showcasing that you're not going to be rewarded for unsettling our players and attempting to bully us into selling is worth the £20-30m deficit.

Club have told the Geordie Journos no PSR issues exist even if we keep him.

This pricks staying isnt he? Downing tools til January, cementing his role as the worst cunt to pull on the shirt.

Just can’t see it. Hope also said he reckons Liverpool are leaving bidding so late we have less time to reject it/negotiate. They bid tomorrow and we’ll accept

That narrative does seem to be changing though, over the last few days

I get why people would be upset if we sell for £130m but I genuinely just want him gone at this point, yes that value is a bit less than what we where asking, but that was probably always unrealistic anyway, and clubs sell below their public asking price all the time, so I don't think we'd lose face in that sense.

If he stays it causes so many issues, firstly if he is reintegrated, the squad have apparently been seething at him for how hes acted, that it'll be a nightmare to not only get Isak to perform but to get them back onside. Secondly, if we just let him rot and train alone, as cathartic as it would be, it sends out a terrible message to any would be signing that may want to come here in the future, and in the year he'd be rotting his value would depreciate significantly and we'd lose out on guaranteed revenue now. Thirdly, Howe will be asked about it in every press conference, every pre and post match interview, that it'll just overshadow the entire season, and just continue the drama, Howe won't want that, and I certainly fucking don't.

Then their are fans, his situation is untenable, it doesn't matter what he does, he's never turning anyone around, he's going to be booed continually, and get absolutely pelters, that'll it'll once against be a distraction.

So it's at the point where we just need to get as much as we feasibly can, and chuck this guy into the sea, and good riddance too. Cunt.

I'm sure the decision makers for the club with the final say, people who run a Sovereign Wealth Fund with a Trillion Dollars in AUM, are going to wet themselves and roll over like a puppy at that ploy... especially when they now have 36 hours notice of this alleged plan.

All depends if we need the money I guess

Keep him and exclude isn’t an option

Never happened in the history of football and certainly won’t for a £100m+ player

At this point, I want him to stay. Not because of his ability, but it’s too late in window and I don’t want us to make a desperate deal that hurts us.

A sale can be there in January or next summer, and both windows, new striker opportunities will open up. With 24 hours to go, we’re forced into over paying for either Wissa or Larsen :D No thank you.

There are also no examples of players in this tier (or even in the tiers below) actually maintaining their strike past the transfer window closing.

I don’t think he will strike if he stays

He will play and we will have the same issues in the January window and summer window

Need to get rid now - At least £120/£130m

There shouldn't be, £70 mill loss (21/22) dropped out from PSR up to to this June, another £60 Mill loss (22/23) drops out for next June, we made a profit 23/24 (£1 mill) and dont know 24/25 figures yet but the club will.

Then you add in the recent sales/wages savings, we should be sweet, the snake here or not.

Hope and Edwards 'reckon' a lot of things. They might not know much, but they always have a bloody good 'reckon'

I think Larsen especially would be a monster for us tbf. I'd happily overpay for him.

Howe isn't bothered about bypassing our midfield and it would be a lot easier to do that with Walter and/or Jorgen than it was with Isak or Wilson.

Tonali, Gordon, Elanga and Livramento charging up for the second ball, I think we'd be a nightmare to play against.
