Completely agree, just wanted to add that this wasn’t what ‘Isak used to do at Newcastle’.  He didn’t go on slaloming runs beating players - that assist vs Everton excepted.

He should have been trying this all the time after that example showed what he could do. Easy to say now but it did play on my mind in games for us after that. Often eased by him scoring goals I should add, but the idea he could do that and somehow chose not to, or didn't get angry enough or who knows why, I never understood. Makes it look like a fluke now after so long

'He needs a pre season under his belt'

'He needs a run of games'

'Just wait until X comes back into the side'

'He's played a lot recently'

'He needs time to settle'

 

These are all examples of comfort blankets fans wrap themselves in when they're in denial about a new signing, I'm guilty of it myself too of course. Deep down, you know your team has just bought a dud but you've seen other players turn around their fortunes in the past when one of these factors has occured so you're clinging onto the hope that all will end well.

 

However, they spent 125/130m on a player who has been one of the standout players of the PL the past 3 seasons, for that money he not only has to hit the ground running, he has to be transformative and elevate the rest of the team with him. They weren't breaking the British transfer record to supplement Ekitike or replace Darwin Nuñez, this has been an unmitigated disaster for them and there's very little Isak can do to change that if he's even motivated enough to try. 

 

If and when he starts notching up a few goals here and there the dipper fluffers in the media will no doubt be wanking themselves into a stupor about it.

Was he taken off for a) Save him for the weekend cause he couldn't possibly play more than this and be 'fit' for the weekend, b) because he was knackered or c) because he was shite? 

And the funniest thing is, no one really knows and they all reflect terribly on him :lol:

The complete and utter refusal to acknowledge that Isak 'missing' his pre-season was 100% down to Isak refusing to take part in pre-season because he wanted to force his move through is massively annoying. Cunts like Warnock are trying to make it sound like it's some kind of unfortunate accident that he's unfit in December because he's listened to his agent and Slot and essentially gone on strike because he's a greedy snake cunt. The fucking spin this club manage to get out into the public discourse is ridiculous, I'll say it again, they're all absolute cunts

Let me be clear, I wouldn't want Liverpool to win a game of Tiddlywinks against ISIS buuuuuuut if Liverpool are going to win, I want Ekitike to win them games single handedly to the point where he makes himself undroppable and the rat is only trusted for a run out against tin pot teams in the early rounds of the cup
