Menace
Interestingly they played a 4231 formation with Isak as SS Would be cool to see that here sometimes with Barnes Gordon on the wing and Wilson up top Edited September 5 by Menace

Brentford (a) and Southampton (h) in particular come to mind.

Palestoon
Still believe his best position would be behind a striker who can hold up the ball and take some of the attention off of him. Would allow him to have more of the ball facing goal and running at defenders where he excels

Thought he was going to do the same with Isak and Wilson when we first signed Isak.

Yeah, when we started both, a lot of times, it was with Isak out left. He has also played off Wilson at times too though. That 4th placed season we went to that setup to chase games at times, when we were behind. It looked good too.
Ronaldo
Nah, he’s a frontman. Just needs the ball playing to his feet. 25 goals last season up top alone.

Don't get me wrong, he's quality and more than fine leading the line. Just feels like sometimes he's feeding off scraps in our current set up. A player of his technical ability should be touching the ball much more per game. Even playing someone off him would help his game go to another level. I think the real issue is he seems isolated for large parts in this 4-3-3. Hopefully with Tonali, and eventually a classy right sided player in the team, we'll see the team able to get him on the ball more consistently. Regardless I'm not complaining if his output is similar to last seasons regardless of the style haha
