When he signs that contract extension, I’m gonna need content of him reading an open letter to mock this shit.

If and hopefully when he signs that extension I'll worry about any release clause.

Of course we can't. How many people can they pay that to though?

Not many, Wirtz is apparently going to be on 200k. Saka is in about 195k. I feel if we really want to keep Isak an offer of 190k to 220k will see him sign an extension.

Wirtz need a better agent if he's just become the British transfer record and is only on half of what Salah makes.

He was on about 80k at Leverkusen, and now he's making almost triple that. A 200k wage is huge at Liverpool. Only Salah and VVD get paid more than him.

I think his agent did very well there.

Cutting edge journalism.

We haven’t got a fuck load of money?

The issue won’t be the salary. By extending his contract  by a further 3 years we can amortise his transfer fee for another 6 years. There’s currently 31.5 mill remaining or 10.5mill a year. So if he extends for a further 3 years, that fee will be amoritsed to 5.25 mill. So we can offer him an extra 5.25 mill pounds a year or 100,000 pounds a week without negatively affecting our PSR position. However, he will want an out if a mega club comes in for him. So the negotiation will be on the release clause value. He has 3 years left on his contract, so Newcastle hold the leverage. It makes sense for him to back himself to continue to score goals, keep his value high, sign a new deal with a release clause of say 160 mill in the event Newcastle don’t qualify for champions league,  that’s still attractive to mega clubs. But Newcastle don’t lose out.

So has he stalled or has he accepted his new salary with us?

Neither, we haven't opened talks yet.

I'm still confident he stays this summer. It'll be more a worry next summer when Bayern and Barca in particular are in for a new striker.

Whoever runs that account wants fucking sectioning. Completely unhinged.

Far from it. The bloke is borderline genius.

Look at the traction and interaction that tweet is getting. As the kids would say, ‘it’s doing bare numbers’.

And numbers translate into cash.

All for a completely made up tweet that he probably put together whilst lying in bed.

Much like the YouTube clowns like Goldbridge, we can mock them all we want, but they know what they’re doing.

If that account deserved any attention, which it does not, I would say the fee is double Coutinho to Barca, plus inflation.

They'd be getting the same value Barca did.
