Ben
Eh !! So PSR affects the Sky6 as well ? I don't think that's how it's supposed to work.
The Bonk
3 minutes ago, KaKa said: Once clubs are forking out £115 million for Caicedo, then there's just no chance. Any fee for Isak has to now start at a fair bit higher than that. That £150 million is no longer sounding so crazy. That's the baseline and there's what, maybe 3-4 clubs (Bayern, PSG, Real, Liverpool?) that can afford that fee. Arsenal , nahhhh.

They may have more money, but they spend significantly more on fees and wages so they end up in the same boat. The funny thing is we've actually ended up with players at the same level and even better than a number of theirs while shopping at a lower price point. David Edgar
£150m seems fair. His similar player list on fbref is Mbappe, Vincious and Kane. He's genuinely top 5 in the world.

Sima
£150m isn’t enough imo. Get nearer to £200m and we’ll get around the table.
mighty__mag
Genuinely think one club could pay 150/180m and that's Madrid, and they're the only club not really mentioned.
Nucasol
Arsenal can’t afford him, in the papers this morning.
Hanshithispantz
He used to go on spells of a couplr games where he would literally never see the ball, which we've managed to almost completely eliminate. Seems every game he does something atleast semi-outrageoud.
STM
Not that I'm trying to sell Isak but the timing is all wrong. Noone can afford him right now, the clubs that are in the conversation already have world class strikers (Kane, Mbappe, Haaland) and of course he has a long contract with us and neither the player or club wants this to end. It's much more likely that he signs a new deal. If he wins us a trophy, I'd happily knock a few quid off the selling price as a gentlemans agreement when the time comes and he's ready to move. Any player who puts a trophy in our cabinet, can have the right to choose their next destination IMO but show me that silverware first. Isak, Botman, Bruno, Tonali, Gordon, Joelinton and our young English fullbacks need to realise that they have history in their grasp. A trophy is coming if they stick together. It's a case of when, not if.
Shearergol
My Man United supporter boss said that Isak is worth £70m-£80m. There was a brief moment in my head where I considered losing my job.
Turnbull2000
If Isak moves in the next year or so, doubt it'll be anywhere near £150m. If one of the big boys comes in offering Isak 350k per week and us £110 million transfer fee, he may put in a transfer request and demand the move. Would rather not hold onto an unhappy player. £100-110m would still represent a healthy PSR profit.

WilliamPS
Presume his original deal was 5 years? If so a new deal is paramount this summer. And that probably means need CL qualification.

Skeletor
I work with a lot of Arsenal fans and some of them had convinced themselves we paid £30m for Isak so they could get him for £70-80m. I made them google how much we bought him for. Their faces dropped as they suddenly realised they couldn't afford him.

It will be a Bruno type clause that means he can move only to specific clubs at a pre-agreed fee I suspect. He'll get a bumper pay-rise out of it either way. Paully
They're a bunch of entitled idiots these Arsenal fans! If Isak leaves us, he'll go to a far bigger club than those lot!
Geogaddi
The worry I have with Isak is that FFP means we will never be able to offer him a weekly wage that he deserves , Haaland for example is on 350k a week and Isak is in that same bracket of elite strikers but we are never going to be able to pay him anywhere near that because of the rules that have been put in place by the cartel clubs. Eventually one of them will come along and offer him that sort of money . Edited January 10 by Geogaddi
