VAR howler aside, they were worthy winners and reduced City to very few chances. Fair play. Pardew. That’s it. Apart from that, I don’t hate them. christ
Genuinely pleased for Palace. Their chairman may be a bellend and their middle class try hard ‘ultras’ cringeworthy in the extreme, but seeing a team for which winning a trophy matters so much is always better than City, Liverpool hoovering up another. Would I be saying all of this if we hadn’t won the Carabao? Absolutely not. I’d be green with jealousy.
duo
Didn't get to see the final yesterday so held off seeing the result so I could watch the game today - got to say am happy for Palace - seeing their fans going through the range of emotions just made me relive our day at Wembley. Worthy winners. Edited 7 hours ago by duo

Certainly a far cry from when they were the moral arbiters of football and how the game should be player, under Wenger. Tbf to Arteta there was a period where they were playing really good football, was the best in the league but I agree with Gary Neville that he seemed to change ever since losing that game ag the Etihad Turned into a wealthy Stoke City since then and they are worse for it

Optimistic Nut
Happier to see the likes of Palace win a Cup than Villa, even more since we won our trophy.

Pilko
Good riddance to Woodison. Hope Southampton beat the bastards.
Tsunami
They’ll be nicking the goal posts, nets, corner flags and digging up the turf at final whistle. Meanwhile, in the stands they’ll be unscrewing “their” seat and anything not firmly anchored down. Be no stadium left for the lasses…

They were sound enough and I walked on my own from the ground to Kirkdale Merseyrail station post game both times. Liverpool as a city is probably my second favourite UK city after town tbh. 4 minutes ago, geordie_b said: Always liked the ground but very few good memories of the place.
