Bimpy474
I think this is now a play off game between us and Chelsea if we both win this weekend. Gonna be some twist and turns though, it's us after all. Edited April 22 by Bimpy474
duo
4 minutes ago, Mattoon said: For those keep asking: Man City have got Wolves (H), Southampton (A), Bournemouth (H) and Fulham (A). They're not gonna drop any points now, so we need to stay ahead of Chelsea (who we get to play at home) and Villa (Who lost tonight potentially putting us 5 in front if we beat Ipswich). Villa have a relatively easy fixture list but if we win our home games they can't catch us and Chelsea have the toughest run in of all of us. Man City winning tonight puts us in pole position for top 4 and now with a cushion. Wolves, Bournemouth and Fulham can easily take points of this City side. For a start Wolves are in great form - unbeaten in five. Edited April 22 by duo

Between them they accumulated 3 points, if it was a draw it would have been 2 points accumulated. How is Man City winning better than a draw! Only 1 of our rivals picked up points. Rather than them Both getting points. We don’t need to finish above them both (most likely). The one that we are most likely to be finish above - lost - that’s a great result. We want to be in a 3 horse race. Not a 5 horse race

Or Forest for that matter. As long as Chelsea and Villa keep dropping points it doesn't really matter what the other two do.

nemtizz
Villa fan at work said he’d much rather they got CL than win the FA Cup solely because of the revenue increase. Baffling.

Kid Icarus
Cash isn't bad but he's Villa's soft underbelly imo. Bringing him off for Disasi and exposing that side even more is mad like, O'Reilly had a field day getting crosses in even before Doku came on

A draw is better if you need to finish above both of them. We don’t, we just need to finish above one of them. A win, especially for City who are going to finish above or near enough to us, helps keep Villa at a distance. Instead of having two clubs 1 or 2 points behind us after the upcoming weekend, one will be five behind if we win. That’s better for us finishing Top 5. But that was their first away win since early December, I believe. They also drew at home with Ipswich the game before and haven’t been in great form at all. With most of their fans sick to death of their manager. Even their winning streak before that at home was pretty much exclusively against teams down the bottom.
