I dunno I think there’s something in the argument… was a goal or goal scoring opportunity likely enough to merit undermining the showpiece? I think considering the quality of the spectacle in the final isn’t a bad thing

Disagree 100%

Rules are rules.

£200M spent in Jan and these lot look incredibly ordinary.

And they're not even a decent watch.

Dull, tedious football.

Yep, ball out to right, check back onto left foot and curl cross in. Boils my piss we struggle against these and suffer heavy defeats, they've been dogshit most of the season.

Our performance down there a few months back was a disgrace.

Where do you draw the line in important games though. Title deciders. Relegation battles. The rules have to apply, regardless of the game.

He’ll get another £350m to spend in the summer.

No point in VAR if they change rules depending on the game.

Absolute joke and borderline cheating imo.

Sorry no. Rules are rules.

Should Pope have not been sent off against Liverpool?

After all, us not having our number one GK for the final "undermined the showpiece" that year, surely?

Where does the line get drawn?

Who gives a fuck about the showpiece or the spectacle. Enforce the laws of the game

A bit like Formula 1 2021 then. Throw the rules out the window for the spectacle. Everybody remembers that moment fondly....

No argument, we lose heavily most times we play there. In past seasons, could be understood. Not this year, they've been God-awful and we were just weak and poor that day.

Well, I do. I’d rather it was a competitive match. I’m sure some other football fans agree.

I don’t dispute that it by law it’s a red, I can just see why you might not do it in the circumstances.

They were even moving the ball from the left to that position to cross it, so easy to defend against.

Oh no ...

Can't bare the thought or sight of Parish celebrating at the end.

Not sure Man City will turn this around though.

Nope.  Dead wrong here, you can’t change the rules just because you want a “competitive match”.

No football fan would, an armchair viewer may.

I hate to undermine your theory but I’ve no recollection of it whatsoever, I don’t watch F1.

Can I shock you? I like Wayne Rooney.

He went up in my reputation when he was paying for a lot of Derbys kit and travelling etc. I live down this way and the Derby fans loved it.
