If VAR look at it then the argument that it hasn't been seen by the ref goes out of the window.

 

If VAR cannot look at it (outside the area) then surely this argument doesn't exist?

I don't follow. The VAR can look at anything that's a potential red. I dunno if they did, I only switched this on at halftime
