I honestly didn’t realise anyone found Seaman likeable - I always thought he looked like he enjoyed the smell of his own farts.  And not in a justified way, like lying in bed with a hangover after ten pints of Stella and taking pleasure in a good beer fart.

I think you'll find that Semen is an acquired taste

They're effective at what they've decided to do, it's just not particularly attractive.

Very interesting that Arteta came from the background he did and then decided to be a set-piece merchant. Have to respect that he's chosen his own path at least.

They won it, they should have won it MUCH earlier and they deserve it. Their football is absolutely shit but in a way, I respect it. In a day when everyone’s trying to score the perfect goal, scoring a set piece is fine. You should always try to score from a set piece. Ok, a bit strange that it is their modes operandi but going up against Pep will do that to you.

Also have to remember they won all eight of their Champions League group stage matches including wins over Bayern, Inter and pretty sure they beat Atletico 4-0 away so it’s not like they’re a bad team, just a bag of nerves when things really matter.

Also a special mention for their social media following which I think turned their fortunes around 10 or so years ago. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and they squeaked and squeaked. Can’t see any of this happening if all their Youtube presence wasn’t there. They made sure to keep the standards up and there’s something admirable about that.

Also, their fans were happy for us to break our trophy drought and I’m happy for theirs. Boring as fuck watching City win it every year. Let them have their moment.

People forget he played the bulk of his football in Scotland and under Moyes.

In fairness he only chose his own path after initially trying to replicate Man City at Arsenal and finally realising that Pep is essentially a con man who got almost everyone to play his game because he knew every tweak and evolution to beat and improve it, and then stayed ahead of the curve by making those tweaks every year while everyone swallowed his bullshit about "we only do plan A" and thus stayed a step behind by copying what he was doing when he'd already moved onto his next trick.

So he does begrudgingly get some credit for that, although having worked with Pep he should have known that already

Anyone else struggling with how unbearable it is that a team that hasn’t won the league for 22 years have finally won it again, rather than an soulless club that wins it nearly every year?

Nope, me neither. See, it’s absolutely fine and we can all move on.

Arsenal's unique brand of anti-football might work in the premier league where PGMOL turn a blind eye to their Royal Rumble, get it in the mixer, grab hands and elbows, diving, cheating brand of football but it won't wash in the Champions League final and they're up against a team that knows how to play football and how to put it in the back of the net. Arteta's Stoke-ball needs to be unraveled on live TV in front of the world.

Honestly I wouldn't put it past them to beat PSG like. Real Madrid have won the CL countless times playing some of the worst football going and shithousing their way to winning.

Which Champions League did Real play some of the worst football going and win?

Lost on me tbh.  Don’t hold a strong opinion one way or another, seen Arsenal win it enough times for this to warrant nowt more than a shrug.  I find them significantly less offensive than Chelsea, for example.  I also didn’t go doe-eyed at Blackburn or Leicester winning it.

Yeah, I don't mind Arsenal, just fucking hate Arteta and the way he conducts himself on the side of the pitch. Absolute no need for a grown man to behave how he does.

Its also filtered down to the fans now, tbf. He's the main reason for how unlikable the club has become. Light bulb nonce.

I just find Arteta weird and a bit annoying. Pales in comparison to some of the other villains who've come and gone from Premier League touchlines for me.

They're unbeaten in the CL, topped the group stage with 24 points winning every game. Beat Bayern 3-1 and it was the correct result.

They probably will lose but they might do it and tbh it'd be nice, Chelsea being the only London club to hold a UCL, much less two is grim. Much rather Arsenal.

Maybe 2024 if Dortmund took their chances?

Also, low blocked against City in the semi, one long ball up to Bellingham and him, Vini and Rodrygo combined to score. Think in the press conference, one of the players said that City were the better team and they had to play that way to win.

I get the Arteta hate but all that hokey light bulb crap, the histrionics on the sidelines has got him to become a Premier League champion. Took them from 8th to 1st. He did it. Was it likeable? no. But he did it.

The win over Juventus wasn’t  particularly pleasing on the eye either.

They didn't play well but the football wasn't terrible.

2012 Chelsea maybe then. Beaten by Napoli in the second round. Sacked the manager and the players took over. Only game they truly won comfortably was Benfica. Rode their luck against Barca in both legs. Think I remember Fabregas, Sanchez and Messi missing guilt edge chances in the first leg and same for the second with Messi missing a pen and same in the final, Robben missing a pen in ET. I quite liked that team, though, but they were VERY lucky to win it.
