Had an awful feeling that Arsenal are going to sneak it. I think they’ll make it their sort of game, they have better centre halves than Bayern and have the legs and mobility to get around the pitch with PSG. Gabriel with the winner after he avoids a red card for head butting someone

Just seen a video of Paris shops boarding up their windows. How embarrassing for them.

Daughter’s having a picnic on Finsbury Park. On the train and it’s all Arsenal. I’ve managed to avoid it all so far but this is pretty rough.

The shirts are all noticeably brand new, which is simultaneously funny and frustrating.

Honestly we were all worried about them winning the league but in the end it  didn’t actually hurt much. Partly because we had other things to worry about, partly because they were so horrible. If they’d won it in style it would have sucked.

Don’t know if you guys know the area round Arsenal but we’re at the main Finsbury Park gates. It’s all Arsenal. Feels like some horrible apocalypse movie. The Twelve Pins is bursting at the seams.

If they lose I am very tempted to come back out here.

PSG counter so quickly I can't see arsenal living with them.

Arsenal's front three aren't great either psg will be comfortable enough.

Setpieces is the only way they will have any joy or dodgy decisions.

Any dodgy decisions will be going the way of PSG.

Saw something about the ref tonight being a pure card fiend, lashes about 5 a game out normally. Can see it being really tight and niggly too with both teams mixing it up. Fouls and cards could be the way to bet tonight imo

Oh man. Arsenal managing to blag a season without red cards then getting three today would be funny.

There still hasn't been a proper conversation about that no red cards shit.

No red cards, no penalties, absolutely transparent double standards over things like the Gabriel headbutt, the Gabriel dives, MMA at corners etc. It’s not even a conversation.

Even that recent PGMOL list of VAR errors which was very obviously “massaged” (for example, recording no errors against us when their panel disagrees and IIRC they actually apologized for at least one) said “yeah, we favour them, so what?”

Honestly, if Arsenal had to win the league, doing it via honking football, bent refs and massive double standards is ideal. Even more ideal is the fact that it took them so many matches to lock it in.

Those are the rocks I am clinging to.

Some poor old sod in a Spurs cap down here by the gate. Doesn’t seem like he’s on the wind-up or mentally ill, just oblivious

It’s proper Parklife out here today (28C I think) just ruined by all the Arsenal nonsense.

Blatant elbow on Woltemade. Well into "what's the point of VAR?" territory.

Just seen the lineup and its Rice, Odegaard and Lewis Skelly in a three. Looks lightweight to me. Havertz up front, who's scored in the final before and strikes me as a wild card for big games. He's far from clinical but can get you a goal when it matters most.

with this earlier start, it being the last match of everyone's season, and everyone caring about it, the cl final is beginning to feel a bit like fa cup final day did in the 70s and 80s. i'm all for it. i even care who wins!

Did like it being on a Wednesday back in the day but I like it now for all the reasons you stated.
