Looking more at Arteta's tactics, you can tell he targets the ones that look a foul or an incident in real time, but that VAR wouldn't overturn.

The goal up here, Gabriel clearly drags his leg backwards so it looks a foul by Joelinton but I doubt VAR would overturn it if the onfield ref gave a foul.

Same with Madueke last night, I thought a pen in real time and I bet 9 times out of 10 he gets it normally from the onfield ref, where again it's not black or white enough for it to be overturned by VAR. Reckon if we take a close look at them they do this loads to win various free-kicks.

They didn't get a single pen this season they said last night.

They foul at every set piece, too. It started with free kicks. When they used to push all the defenders in a line so their teammates are onside.

Most corners now they have blockers not even looking at the ball. Usually at least a couple of players bearhugging someone and 1-2 on the keeper fouling him for good measure.

The play acting, timewasting, snide challenges and cheating are a fundamental part of their game now. More so than any other club in the league, I’d wager.

To think they’ve gone from total football under Wenger. Where they would all moan about the likes of Bolton and Stoke for being negative, dirty and playing hoofball….. But now they’ll defend it to the hilt because they’re the ones doing it.

Perusing twitter since yesterday evening, and think I've rarely seen such universal pleasure being taken at a team's misfortune.

I mean, hating on Arsenal and thinking they're odious cunts comes naturally to someone like me, but it seems the whole non-arsenal footballing world is delighted and making sure to take time out of their day to say it

Speaking of which, a few here I hadn’t seen. The winner is still “Over the bar” at 0:31:

They were so negative at 1-0 up. At 1-1 they looked decent playing it long to Havertz.

Thought all the wingers on both teams were poor. Defence won. Kvara had 1 of 2 moments. Madueke similar but nothing hooked up.

Substitute strikers were god awful for both teams and killed the game.

Aye - some of the worst crosses a CL final has ever seen, all night too [emoji38].

Thankfully the right outcome.

Cannot stand that Lego headed prick prancing up and down the touchline without repercussion every single game.

As soon as you went near him he'd have thrown himself on the floor claiming a penalty

 He was broken, man. I think Bobby D called it. Something going on on top of being an Arsenal fan.

Not a fan of Goldbridge at all but seen a few clips criticising Arsenal and he's absolutely spot on. To go 120 minutes and manage a single shot on target and 24% possession in the final is abysmal. Saka completed 4 passes in 83 minutes, they're disgusting to watch - they're effective but it's awful to see them actively killing the game as much as possible. Reducing the contest to a series of set pieces rather than playing football. So pleased they lost, they're a stain on the sport the way they approach and destroy the game, utterly foul

It would’ve worked with a fully fit Timber too which is disgusting to think about.

As dour as Arsenal were. PSG rarely troubled them.

Very hard to trouble a team Which have 11 players behind the ball at all times.

Why didn’t we do that at the Nou Camp? Why can’t we defend a lead to save our lives?

why did no other team take PSG to such deep waters in the entire KO rounds?

Defensively Arsenal are one of the best sides in European football I’ve seen. They finished top of the group stage. Went undefeated throughout the whole competition.  It’s dour to watch as a neutral.  But they can really defend.

What does what Arsenal did have to do with us? Bare in mind we actually give PSG a game when we play them and don't just roll over like Arsenal did.

Arsenals defence is crazy strong. Lots of teams defend leads with numbers behind the ball. Arsenal are actually very good at it.  Even at 1-1 Arsenal kept PSG very quiet.
