In the context of Law 11 – Offside, the following definitions apply:
“gaining an advantage by being in that position” means playing a ball
 i. that rebounds or is deflected to him off the goalpost, crossbar or an opponent having been in an offside position
ii. that rebounds, is deflected or is played to him from a deliberate save by an opponent having been in an offside position

A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent, who deliberately plays the ball (except from a deliberate save), is not considered to have gained an advantage

Maguire didnt deliberately play the ball to him, it found its way too him from Maguires action, so point ii. applies. Maguire has to actively pass to him whilst in an offside position for it to be offside.

If the touch from Maguire is deemed to be deliberate then that counts as the pass through. If it’s deflected off him then it is still offside. I’m sure they will clarify it in the studio but that’s always been my understanding and as mentioned earlier we had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside years ago for Anderson

Edit: seen your edit!

The bit you have highlighted literally goes against what you’re saying. It says ‘is not considered to have gained an advantage’ if you copy the rest of that it will say exactly what we are all saying!
