Moose
I can't decide what's worse. Celtic not being able to score in more than 3 and half hours of football against a WiFi password who come from Borat's village or one of the most expensively assembled and well paid squads in world football crashing out to league 2 Grimsby who had a perfectly good goal ruled out and then scored 12/13 penalties against a 50m GK while their manager didn't even watch. After the anguish of Monday, a bit a schadenfreude has warmed my cold heart somewhat. The mackems and Rangers player their part too.
Numbers
Jesus, Man U have really turned into a graveyard of talent, managers, players, directores, theres something very wrong at that club and its fucking glorious to watch. Also fortunately they've managed to make it even worse bringing Ratcliffe on board, bloke doesnt know the difference between a first team player and a dinnerlady. Absolute walter. Kairat were well-organized and played for penalties from basically minute one of the first leg. It’s really difficult to break a well-organized low block down, plus they were happy to use every time-wasting trick in the book. Man U - well they were outplayed for significant periods, are somehow still doing the “stick the big man up front and lump it” tactic and managed to blow one of their two chances for silverware. It’s been some window. We’ve been bewildered and angry at the contrast between the losing Europa Final team going out and spending a fortune despite not (yet) recouping any money, while we get one guy in for less then any of Sesko, Mbuemo and Cunha, lose our talisman and captain and have Arsenal decide to just buy anyone we want. Yet…who actually got better?

Yet…who actually got better? Yeah, the gap in quality & resources between Man Utd and Grimsby is lightyears wider than the gap between Celtic and Kairat. The only reason I'd consider Celtics defeat worse is that they squandered the chance to bank around 40m. There's fuck all money to be made in Scottish football, so that CL money could've made the financial gap between them and Rangers go from enormous to insurmountable

Getting a proper manager to pull it all together is usually the biggest boost a club can make tbh

Just frustrating that Madders and Kulu are out for so long and Arsenal keep nicking our prospective players. We’re maybe a couple of signings away from a very good season. LFEE
Don’t know if it was said last night but did anyone notice how many left footed players Grimsby had? Watched the penalties only and it was weird seeing so many natural left footers in one team.
Paullow
Sounds like an eventful night in Warsaw. Legia 2-1 up from the match in Edinburgh last week, go 1-0 up on the night, 3-1 on agg at half time, but Hibs have scored 3 goals in 16 second half mins to lead 4-3 on agg, and then get Junior Hoilett sent off, but now that's been overturned. Shamrock Rovers still 2-1 up on agg against the side that finished 5th in the Portuguese top flight last season.
Yorkie
Just saw Palace barely snuck past Fredrikstad 1-0 on aggregate. Surely that trophy is going to a different league this year?

Paullow
A third straight European tie going to extra time for Hibs. Conceded a 90+6 goal the other week vs Partizan (eventually came through) and have conceded a 90+4 goal to Legia tonight. They don't do comfortable.
