Diof wasn't a shithouser as much as he was just plain nasty.

Spat on Celtic fans during a match didn't he?

I remember Pele named him in this list of 100 greatest living players or something.

Sam probably would've brought him here if he'd stuck around longer.

Diouf had already been involved in controversial spitting incidents before arriving at Anfield, and his infamy in that regard only grew after moving to England.

After spitting at a Celtic fan during a UEFA Cup clash in 2003, Diouf was charged with assault and fined two weeks’ wages, while he was charged with spitting at an 11-year-old Middlesbrough fan and later banned for three matches for spitting at Portsmouth’s Arjen de Zeeuw the following year on loan at Bolton.

Quote

During his time with Bolton in 2009, Diouf was questioned by police after allegedly making a racial slur to an Everton ball-boy.

The winger defended his actions and claimed Everton fans were racially abusing him and throwing bananas at him, although no evidence was found by police.

Quote

Following Blackburn's win over QPR in 2011, Neil Warnock accused Diouf of taunting Jamie Mackie - who was lying on the ground with a broken leg.

@Froggy

Has Rashford always been like this and the media are just catching on to it now? Or is it just recently when he's been out of form?

He was the golden boy playing well under OGS, helping the free school meals etc but the complete lack of respect for the manager and club coinciding with him being horribly out of form is really odd. Did he think he'd get away with his trip to Belfast? Or is he trying to force a move/change of manager or something?

Finding it amusing how quickly ten Hag is trying to brush this under the carpet, there's no word about punishments or consequences even, only that's its an internal matter and the case is closed, he has ... accepted responsibility for his actions.

Yeah right Erik everything points to these players basically having no respect for you and the club but as you say, the case is closed, he's accepted responsibility so everything is fine.

He was fined two weeks wages (£650000 apparently).

Would be mad. Some yuge clubs in the Bundesliga 2.

Sounds like us in 1991/2.

They're going to break our second tier attendance records unfortunately.

Thing is, it may well properly click for Nunez, and if it does he's going to be unstoppable. There is some serious quality there, and he's got the physical attributes.

Spoiler

Secretly one of my favourite non-NUFC players in the league. :-X

Don’t care for ETH, but Rashford was too ‘ill’ to train in Manchester after a night out in Belfast. Irrespective of what the manager is like, that’s pretty disgraceful and unprofessional behaviour towards a club that pays him crazy money and he should know better. The guy was a national hero not long ago and now he’s ruined his reputation and is acting like an idiot when he should really be maturing.

FFP will save them ?

The pattern of debt combined with on field failure has done this to so many clubs. Once money stops coming in the debt cannot be managed and it’s a downward spiral.  I don’t see this ever being addressed.

He's already there IMO. He's a beast. Double figures in goals and assists in all comps.

Is nufc.com down for anyone else?

nope, updated 5 mins ago exactly. On this day in 2009 we drew 1-1 at home to Sunderland. And then 5 years later Colback rammed home the 3rd for SAFC against us.
