The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

I’m not worried about Chelsea in the medium term.  They are not well run enough. Don’t believe in the manager either.

Something is seriously wrong when a £2bn squad is struggling to finish 4th when not in a competitive European competition.  Conference has even been a blessing for them. It’s keep their second squad match sharp.

Jesus. Forest’s dip in form saved us big time didn’t it. They needed 10 points from their last 8 games to do it. They must be seething.

These proper botltled it. Lack of class and squad depth showed in the end. But also lost their nerve. If they had held their nerve against Leicestee they would be in the CL.

Think we knew (hoped) it would happen eventually. They saved their worst till last!

Forest were overly outperforming their metrics and the regression to the mean kicked in just in time.

No matter. The deed is done and we're in and Villa and Forest are not. The end.

 Forest falling away, Chelsea being found out, or Villa running out of steam were always on the table as things that would let us in.

Forest falling away was the only one that happened, the only surprising thing for me is that Chelsea weren't found out, because they're absolutely shite.

Neto saved them, funny enough. His goal against Fulham changed their season.

First domestic trophy in 70 years and Champs League qualification. Triumph of a season.

Fine margins and all that; come on.

Glad that we earned and deserved the trophy and CL as well. Yes we scraped the latter but it's not like Spurs getting it at 17th and people mocking them [emoji38]

When the dust settles both sets of fans will look back on the season fondly. Villa did well not to collapse under CL pressure in the league and no cunt thought Forest would do owt.

This is the one that happened in the end. Lucked out but it matters not now

I find this amazing - i am daft at stats and probabities but if I understand correctly, the least likely successful scenario for us happened in reality.

The season review thread in a couple of days is going to be just delightful. Once the taste of today's defeat fades away we'll be left with a real gem of a season to reflect on.

Fifth, CL, and a trophy,  just brilliant. Couple of delicious statement wins sprinkled in there too,

Well fucking done man.

think Forest are extremely lucky to have finished as high as they have given their actual level of performance this season. The likes of Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth and Palace are all significantly better imo. Who gives a fuck though really! Hope they enjoy some European nights next season.
