So every season on the last day, there's usually a  game that goes mental and at least onr good hiding.

23/24
Brentford 2-4 Newcastle
Luton 2-4 Fulham
Palace 5-0 Villa

22/23
Southampton 4-4 Liverpool
Arsenal 5-0 Wolves

21/22
City 3-2 Villa
Arsenal 5-1 Everton
Norwich 0-5 Spurs

20/21
Leicester 2-4 Spurs
City 5-0 Everton

19/20
Arsenal 3-2 Watford
City 5-0 Norwich

Etc

What we thinking this year?

Don't care how. Don't care how much. Just win. 1-0, 5-0, 5-4, don't care.

That's all my brain can handle right now

Why’s everyone obsessing and pontificating about what other teams might do

We win. We get CL. End of

Must have a pretty warped mind to think we’re not in with a very good chance of beating Everton at home

Stop the self-flagellation. Put the spreadsheets, tarot cards, crystal balls and tea leaves away

Enjoy your week, be ready to gan radge on Sunday

Plot twist. I really like spreadsheets, use them every day

Just never as a comfort blanket ahead of a football match

villa chelsea and forest - offer them our position and fixture or theirs?

they take it ours in a shot.

Without doubt. Imagine being in the away end at Old Trafford next week, couple of goals up but having to keep checking your phone to see if we are winning?

It’s in our hands. Can’t ask for more.

Shitting it for the Everton game but it's in our own hands ( none of the Dino arms Pickford bullshit) bank hol weekend get pissed and see the lads over the line.

Would of snapped hands off to have won a cup and be in this position at start of season - so gotta be positive even if we did miss out albeit being so close missing out would feel like it took the edge off our successful season ( even tho it wouldn't)

What if we win 1-0.

Chelsea win 4-0.

Villa win 15-0.

What then?

Disappointing to have lost today but we've put ourselves in an amazing position: win one home game against a mid-table side and CL is ours. We missed some opportunities in consecutive away games to put it to bed, but you take this all season long.

Does 8th get Europe?

I think only if Chelsea finish 7th, but win the Conference League now that Palace have qualified via FA Cup.

Also if Chelsea finish 6th and we finishing 7th, but this can only happen by us getting absolutely battered by Everton.[emoji38]

If we can't beat Everton, then we don't deserve champions league football. We're playing a team with nothing to play for and highly likely with most of their first choice defence missing. If we play anything like we have recently at home, then we will win.

One thing is important though is that if we go ahead, then we must not sit back. We need to then take the game by the scruff of the neck and look to finish the game off. We don't want a situation of sitting back and the nerves amongst the players and the crowd rising.

Fans have to do their job also and support the team throughout, it was noticeable that within the second half against Chelsea, the nerves of the crowd was starting to effect the players also. Obviously there are going to be nerves, with such an importance on the win, but need to keep the support constant throughout the match.

This game is massive for being able to have increased revenue to strengthen the team with higher quality and a higher number of players being able to be signed.

I'm quite sure Villa, Forest and Chelsea fans would far prefer our fixture.

Just noticed Everton have lost only 3 of their last 17 games

I don’t know why everyone here is so confident of a win tbh.

3rd in the league, needing a win v 13th in the league who have absolutely nothing to play for and will be missing their best player through injury. We couldn't ask for a much kinder game really.

Tbf we could very likely be missing our best player through injury too

Because we've won 20 of the last 28 or something like that, and are 3rd, and narrowly lost to the team 2nd, when we probably deserved a point ?

And because we're a very good team ?

Those three defeats were all against teams in the top 6. They are also in all likelihood going to be missing basically their first choice defence.
