toon25
Have to beat Forest and really want to fuck over Fulham after such a piss weak performance down there. We always lose at Anfield and the Emptyhad so not expecting anything there.
The Prophet
70 points normally gets top four. So we probably need another 30, so 10 wins in 16. It’s a big ask, but with 5th also looking good for a CL spot we just need to keep plugging away.
Ronaldo
We need another 28 points for CL. I’m absolutely convinced that’ll do it. Realistically 8 wins and a few draws. It’s there for the taking now.
Karjala
I think 9 wins and a couple of draws gets us Top 5 and UCL. Could do with kick starting that with a couple wins in the next 2.
Coffee_Johnny Posted Wednesday at 09:30 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:30 Here's a breakdown, by half season of how many points we have picked-up. I (optimistically...) predicted/hoped that this season we could match our best total for first 19 and second 19. Not quite managed that, as you can see. But recent run has given us a real chance and matching the best 'second half' (Eddie and Co's stunning start in 2020-21) would give us 68 points overall. Probably enough for 4th (average PL era is 69 points for 4th place).
Miercoles Posted Wednesday at 19:14 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:14 Jeeeezuz we were on 10 points at the halfway mark. It's easy to forget how insane that season was.

timeEd32 Posted Thursday at 23:44 Share Posted Thursday at 23:44 It's even better than that looks given that at least five of the English teams are going to skip the playoffs and are guaranteed knockout round bonus points, plus high group stage bonuses. Bologna will be out for Italy and Girona for Spain. Portugal and Germany with multiple teams at risk too. 5th will get CL. Massive chance for us (and Forest). Alberto2005 Posted Thursday at 23:48 Share Posted Thursday at 23:48 Will 6th be the only Europa place? And 7th Conference League?

timeEd32 Posted Saturday at 17:03 Share Posted Saturday at 17:03 We’re now into beat Forest at home and move ahead of them territory.
54 Posted Saturday at 17:23 Share Posted Saturday at 17:23 No matter what happens in this Man City vs Chelsea game we end the day 5th right?

RUHRLYASLEEVESUP Posted Saturday at 17:46 Share Posted Saturday at 17:46 Were probably safe now but be good to ensure no chance of relegation by beating Fulham Makes the run in less stressy
Alberto2005 Posted Saturday at 18:28 Share Posted Saturday at 18:28 I'm a little concerned after today, I feel like we're going to run out of energy pretty soon. We have to go all out to come above Forest and Bournemouth and hope that's enough.

We just don’t have the players to quite execute what we’re trying to do.

On the Grid Posted Saturday at 19:01 Share Posted Saturday at 19:01 Thought we were fine today. Sloppy goal to concede but after that it was piss easy as it should have been...reckon any minor sloppiness can be put down to a long trip which was disrupted. In fairness after I heard about the travel changes I expected a defeat so was pleasing
The Prophet Posted Saturday at 19:01 Share Posted Saturday at 19:01 The race for 3rd/4th/5th is a bit tasty. Chelsea, City, Forest, Bournemouth, Villa and ourselves all in with a real shout.

Not sure if that level of finishing is sustainable but I'm more worried about them to be honest. It seems that losing their two main strikers has benefitted them. Iraola is such a good coach. astraguy Posted Saturday at 19:05 Share Posted Saturday at 19:05 I just see it as a top 10 battle, if we bottle it against Fulham like Bournemouth (That doesn't look that bad today) we lack energy
Andy Posted Saturday at 19:18 Share Posted Saturday at 19:18 Canny mad that we're 8th in home form and 5th in away form this season. We've somehow managed to flip that entirely on its head. I'd be confident we can sort the performances at St James's out, so that at least bodes well.
