IzzyIsak
Results have been going our way lately so can't complain too much about tonight. Spurs have Man City next so hopefully we win and the gap is 6 points again with a game in hand to us.
HaydnNUFC
Missed opportunity not winning on Saturday, would've been 5 points clear with a game in hand with Tottenham still to come to SJP. 6 points are a must from the next two.

I'd agree that 6 points from West Ham and Bournemouth is really needed but more so because the 3 games after that are Liverpool, Brighton and Man City. That's a really tough 3 game run but going into of the back of 2 league wins and a place in the League Cup final should help massively.

The Liverpool one, our most recent defeat at SJP, was 0-1 but they were in complete control. It flips so violently because we blew Fulham and Brentford away. The early sending off in the Fulham game was a turning point for us this season.

The Prophet
Heard an assessment from a spurs fan earlier. He basically said that it's massive credit to us how quickly we've moved from a side that is scared of the ball to a side that is treat with so much respect, but while Longstaff, Joelinton, Willock and Almiron have done really well, they lack that bit of quality to break more defensive opponents down. Pretty much the consensus amongst ourselves. Edited January 24, 2023 by The Prophet

Kid Icarus
Aye I was going to say, that doesn't seem right. I've seen other tables where we're 4th or 5th best at this stage, with everyone on the table ending up top 3.
gazza ladra
Maybe Chelsea surrendered multiple goals in cup games? If they surrendered goals in Champions League games that would bump up their average per game.
The Prophet
Perhaps because the graphic above is all competitions? Not sure on that one.
GideonShandy
The Chelsea 2004-05 statistic is "across all competitions." Once you add in their goals conceded in the Champions League, FA Cup etc it comes out to 33 goals in 59 games which equals 0.56 goals per game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004–05_Chelsea_F.C._season
HawK
Said it before but our league results, W10, D9, L1 (away, last minute goal vs a better team on reputation) is looking more and more like an FM save scummer's wet dream Even sacking off the FA cup to make sure you could field the same XI in bot League Cup legs without rotation and all players at 100% condition

BoSelecta
They spent more than all other than Chelsea if you count the summer + winter windows for this season. We have Palace (H), Leeds (H), Leeds (A), Leicester (H), Brentford (H). You have West Ham (H), Bournemouth (A), Liverpool (H), Brighton (H), Man City (A). How many points would you boys expect from those 5? I'd take 10 points if offered it now.
