I keep assuming Forest will fall away and I still think they won’t sustain this but they are building quite the cushion. 13 points clear of Spurs and 6-7 points from 6th pending tomorrow’s results.

Liverpool, Brighton, City, Arsenal, Man United, and Chelsea all at home too.

Aye, they're in crazy good form. Hopefully the pressure will get to them at one point. Imagine missing out on CL due to Forest having a one in a thousand chance wonder season.

My thoughts is that when a team has punched way above their weight for the entire first half, there's a very good chance they won't slow down. So much momentum nd confidence. They can even afford a down period, just like the other current top 4 teams (in terms of getting into CL).

I’d be very happy for them to finish in the top 5, just not at our expense.

If they finish top 5 there's a good chance it will be at our expense. Time for them to start losing.

That cheeky cunt Carragher saying with it being a top 5 Forest might be disappointed if a team like us pips them for that 5th spot, although they'd be honoured to get overhauled by Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City.

Well if he doesn't say anything remotely controversial without upsetting the 6 how is he going to keep getting paid

There's not 19 games in a season, in the cold light of day Forest will be delighted with any European football.

Since Dec. 13, the day before we played Leicester we were 12th with 20 points and a -2 GD. Since then we're:

+9 on Brighton

+9 on Man United

+8 on Man City

+8 on Chelsea

+8 on Villa

+6 on Bournemouth

+6 on Fulham

+2 on Arsenal

+0 on Forest :howe:

Think we are reliant on the bulk of this starting eleven staying fit and avoiding too many suspensions etc.

You take Isak, Tonali or Bruno out and I think our form suffers. But if we can keep them all available, then sky's the limit.

Even missing Schar for Spurs is going to cause an issue with no other RCB available. That in itself is no issue but then what happens if Hall is also out and then Isak is out at the same time.

Like you say, we're only 2 or even 1 (Isak) big injury away from scrambling around in 8th/9th again very quickly.

Exactly that. Our first XI would legit get in most of those combined XI teams against anyone in the league, but our squad as a whole is barely top 10.

Forest keep winning so Howe won't get manager of the month and we quietly climb the table. :cheesy:

They've got a tricky patch of games coming up. They play alot of teams in the top 8 in the next 10 games. In fact I think just Wolves (in good form currently) in their next game and Southampton after that aren't current top 8 teams in their next 10 games.

If they are still top 4 by end of January that will be hugely impressive and then I might start to think they can continue it until end of season.

Once we get Spurs out of the way we'll have 10 at Home and only 8 Away left to play. 32 points at halfway means 64 at the end of the season but given the extra homes there's no reason we can't aim for 70ish
