TRon
Wilson and Isak were playing well. So was Barnes. Gordon should have been due a rest by now but he's basically playing every game because all our other forward options are missing.

The College Dropout
He's excellent man. His anticipation and reading of the game is A1. He's often moving and reacting faster than defenders. He catches them out; that's one of the ways he steals fouls and opportunities, he's sniffing it out. His finishing has been super composed as well. Clean striker of the ball off both feet. The earliness of the shot beat the keeper. And he mitigates a lot of his weaknesses. He's not great at beating a man but he still works himself into good areas and then keeps the ball to keep the pressure. He's not the most creative but by anticipating opportunities he creates where another player would be on their heels. And he's got good delivery from wide areas off both feet. He could get 5-6 assists a season off crosses alone. Win another 4-5 penalties which is pretty much an assist. And a few more from open play and you're looking at an elite 10+ goal, 10+ assist player.

STM
Absolutely lush hearing people saying positive things about our players. I think it's a great point that reason Gordon is so good is because he can pretty much do everything to a good standard and mixes it up all game. Pressing Passing Crossing Dribbling Running in behind Shooting Tackling I'd say he's at least a 7/10 on all these markers. Compare that to ASM who was a 10/10 at dribbling but lacked in most other areas. Poor Harvey has his work cut out. Although I wouldn't mind seeing them together for spells in games. Lush Vlad
Was just watching that clip. Carragher and Ljungberg very complimentary about him. I didn’t quite realise how good that run was for the goal. Proper blindsided Badaishaile and made 2-3 yards for himself.
The College Dropout
I don’t think he’s an excellent passer but he keeps the ball well.
nemtizz
This isn't even a debate. Should be ahead of Grealish as well.

andycap
I love the way even carragher knows Southgate will pick rashford as a definite ? he's so predictable is our Gareth.
Ikon
Gordon is good to very good at most things. Think the perfect balance for the team once we signa RW would be getting a player that is more towards a flair player. A creative playmaking one. Especially when you consider how wide and up the field we play our RB. On the other side once Hall breaks through properly we won't look one dimensional at all since Gordon can go both wide and inside with Hall being able to play both from wide and go into more central areas to mix it up. Hall's crossing ability and progressive passes from various areas will make our left hand side very difficult to read for the opposition as well as allowing us to create an overload both wide and in the more central areas. Really like the flexibility and variations this would/will give us. Gordon is class but i dont want the same type of player for the right. Especially if we are not gonna play a proper 10 or an extremely attacking playmaker in our midfield three. Our wide player would give us that creativity instead coming in to more central areas with our fullback providing the width. The College Dropout
There’s a lot of talented left footed playmakers/creators in the PL atm. Neto, Olise, Kudus and Palmer spring to mind. I’ll take Mahrez on loan though.
Ikon
Maybe we'll go the Roony route in january to compete with Miggy. Then in the summer see how we do regarding RW. If we add a top class more proven one or not. Edited November 28, 2023 by Ikon

The game has shifted so much and all of the big clubs want to take these bets. FFP really shifted the dial which is why all of the so called big clubs are massive talent hoarders. Players who are playing in ECL as teens are generally going to go to elite clubs (which we aren’t yet).

Wanted more game time. I think we could be a very very good option for him at this point. There's everything for him here. My pure guess would be Tottenham with a Real Madrid clause in the contract. Badaishaile (Another one we missed out on) is no mug and James is as good as it gets full back wise, yet he got the better of both.
