Erikse
Just had a look, and in 15 away games he has 1 goal and 2 assists. 2 of those came against Sheffield Utd in the 8-0 trashing. At home he has 9 goals and 7 assists in 17 games, pretty much 1 g/a per game. Crazy difference, but ofcourse it's not just him. Far from it.
The Butcher
World Class. Maybe not, but Jesus Christ he's good.
Myleftboot
Would imagine he’ll be after a new contract to be on the same money as the top earners.
CPL
Double double for the season. Who was the last player to do that for us?

If this is accurate it looks like he's well clear: https://www.statmuse.com/fc/ask/most-penalties-won-this-season Scrolling down says our last match was Sheff U so might not even include today's. Might not be long before he's on the all-time list. https://theanalyst.com/eu/2024/01/who-has-won-the-most-penalties-premier-league/ Whilst searching I was interested to discover through Transfermarkt that today's appears to have matched our highest penalties awarded in a PL season of 9 in 1993/94. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/topErhalteneElfmeter/wettbewerb/GB1/plus/?saison_id=2023

Vinny Green Balls
Fuck it. He’s going to be world class.
gbandit
My categorisation of world class is pretty much: Can win games almost on their own multiple times a season Is one of the best in their position in the world (clearly) Has a consistency that means they rarely drop a long way below their ceiling Id say he ticks the first one, I think he can tick the second. I think he ticks the third one

SiLvOR
Can't believe how good he is at winning penalties for us He is just incredible, and I truly think he'll win something here with us.
Newcastle Fan
Fantastic today, was full of confidence and running, i think he improved his forward runs a lot as he is getting in much better positions than earlier in the season.
Lotus
Have I missed something or are the media not constantly linking AG to all the usual suspects the way Bruno and Isak have been?

I think he ticks the third one The highlighted one is the one for me. Could the player realistically get into a world XI? Gordon doesn't get into my England XI tbh - but that doesn't mean he isn't a top player. Personally, I think his ceiling is a tier below world class - but that's more than good enough for us. He's been outstanding this season.

Ellis H
On the player of the year award, how utterly degrading have most of our winners been in the last 20 or so years? Only 2 attackers (one of which was on loan) since Shearer in 02/03 says it all. https://imgur.com/r7IT4qw

Well that's a dilemma for the press. If they do that they also have to hype him up like all other English players and that could mean we get more money that they want us to get.
