He's a good player but, dare I say, he's not all that and I've been uncomfortable with this aura of an almost elite status that has surrounded him and he has a lot of good PR. It like we're trying to fit him in and afraid to keep him RW for any extended run as if we don't want to upset him, granted I know Howe would say he's trying to get him back to a higher level. But his strengths have always been his raw bursts of pace, his tenacity, his pressing and fearlessness. Trying to shoehorn him into this creative, silky, reliable finisher isn't going to work, which is why I've always insisted his strengths are better suited to RW in the long-run, despite playing well LW season.

I think it’s probably time to give Barnes a run instead of him tbh. The only player who’s looked consistently able to finish chances this season.

He’s been really poor as a whole this season if we’re being honest. Can’t finish and doesn’t look like he can take players on atm either.

Yet another match with absolutely shocking finishing. Isak was even worse tbh, but at least he's had a spell of form.

Everyone can miss chances. It's the lack of threat otherwise that's the problem. He's hardly giving full backs sleepless nights with his trickery or deliveries from wide.

He rarely tries to. He comes inside all the time, like it’s beneath him to take a player on using his pace, it’s weird.

Probably a preconceived opinion. But I’m convinced he sulks on the right and doesn’t seem interested. Despite his attributes arguably suiting that side just as well or better.

He isn’t really offering an attacking threat from the left. Never gets down the line, his shots are often tame or blocked and he just hasn’t really got anywhere near the levels of last season yet.

Probably reading too much into it. But just seems a bit off in himself and the way he is playing.

We are throwing him all over the pitch middle left right sometimes within a single half. I understand top players adapt and he says he's OK across all 3 of the front three but there is a aspect of his game that has gone. Taking on his defender marking him and bursting past  linking with isak etc etc all seems to be off. Love his work rate and him as a pro but we need more from him on current showing he's gonna be no where near his goal or assist return.

He’s another player that is slightly limited unless there’s space and transitions. Obviously out of form or not right mentally or whatever doesn’t help.

Needs to be moved to the right at least. You can't justify Barnes coming off the bench just to not disturb him when he seems to be disturbed enough already for whatever reason.

Still love him but his role in the team shouldn't dictate the team selection to the extent it has.

He's missed like every chance, including a pen, though. It's been so bad.

I was disappointed he started left. The Joe-Jo axis is the whole point.

Yeah. If we're sticking with Longstaff in the name of not spoiling a winning thing, we should be sticking with JoeJoe.

I said this to mates in the ground, couldn't understand it. If Willock plays it has to be in tandem with Joelinton.

Gordon, to me, looks like someone who’d rather be elsewhere. And by “elsewhere” I mean Liverpool Football Club.

A classic case of a player having his head turned.
