England’s Anthony Gordon

Idiot.

Worked hard for 18 months and about to get his reward in 2 weeks time, only to miss it because he can't keep his emotions in check.

If that isn't an immediate lesson, I'm not sure what will be...

People are mad saying it's not a red. Even if it's a mistimed push it doesn't change the fact that he's hit the player in the head. Out for the final now too, brilliant, can't wait to hear the apology. Honestly sickened by this.

The same people would be screaming for a red if an opposition player did to one of our players.

There's abolutely no chance it gets overturned after the fact. It looks even worse in slow motion and all angles available.

That’s it for me. In real time and from a distance it was hard to tell. The close-up is just a blatant red. I initially thought it was a push in a back, but he really does just kinda twat him in the head.

People saying to sell him ffs

I’d not actively push him out the door, but if a good enough offer comes in over the Summer, it surely needs considering?

Looked off it way too much this season for me.

I'm hoping we can argue for only a 1 game ban. Whilst stupid and he did push him it was pretty tame on the violent scale.

Surely it can't be a one game ban? I can't see what kind of straight red it'd be for a 1 game ban. This kind of incident is three or it's not a red.

Its not that insane is it? Need to replace quite a few players this summer and probably cant do that without selling one of Isak/Tonali/Gordon/Hall/Bruno.

Honestly can't remember the last time I was as annoyed with one of our players. The way I'm feeling now he can just fuck right off and never play for us again. No doubt by tomorrow I'll have calmed down a bit and mellowed over him but at the minute I couldn't even bear to look at his face.

Hope he's sensible and doesn't do owt daft like try to issue an apology on twitter.

Was having a shocking second half.

Poor decisions, poor passes, mis-controlling the ball, and the crowds groans were getting louder.

Thought he was getting frustrated with himself more than anything, which led to him lashing out.

Guy is too emotionally volatile. Really needs to get a grip when things aren't going well.

He either starts trying too hard and making more mistakes, or is prone to losing his head.

Only way he gets away with a red on appeal is if his push was on back to start off with and it’s enough to get doubts thinking it’s violent conduct. Won’t be holding my breath though.

He is and was infuriating in the league game. But he didn’t even play today

You know that if was against us Barnes would be scoring the winner in the final and only there because of the red card here.

Still not convinced it's a red with some of the challenges that didn't get a yellow, seemed a very high bar for a yellow then very little room to differentiate for a red

Intent was there for the push as he looks at him before doing it, but the Brighton player was off balance so ended up catching his head. Straight red based on those factors - stupid behaviour.

Did he not hear the whistle go before he made his run? Why was he even challenging for the ball there? Whole thing is just daft as fuck, no excuses for it at all.
